“Excellent value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

Stayed here a couple of nights in December. Excellent value for money and great location. It is two minutes from a couple of theatres and Covent Gardens. Bus route into Oxford Street for Christmas shopping. Staff are very friendly and helpfu. Have stayed here before and will definitely stay again. Highly recommend it.

Just stayed at the Strand Palace. Room was very clean and comfy. Staff very welcoming. I even asked to see some more expensive rooms for a visit in the future. I was straight away shown three rooms to compare. The location for Covent Garden was great. Plenty of places to get food or drinks. Would I go again? Yes most definately.

Room Tip: Just ask. Many different types of room available.

This is the fourth time I have stayed at the Strand Palace and again we all really enjoyed it. Rooms and public areas were all spotlessly clean and beds really comfortable. We choose this hotel mainly because of the location which is within walking distance of loads of attractions and just beside Covent Garden. Buffet breakfast was great, the only criticism is that waiting staff were slow to bring tea/coffee and clear dirty plates from the table and we had to pile ours up in the middle of the table to make room for the next course, but apart from that everything was great and I would definitely stay again.

Stayed at this hotel last november, had a pleasant stay.
Rooms were clean and good. Easy access to the tube stations and covent garden.
Check in and Check out was easy, also the breakfast was very splendid.
The only problem here is that the entire hotel is a non-smoking facility and hence i had keep running out for my cigarettes.

Stayed here 2 nights in a superior club twin. The room size is adequate if you have carry on sized luggage. Anything that is larger makes it too difficult to get around a room of this size. The bathroom was lovely - smartly renovated with toiletries and large sized bath towels. The walls are a bit thin - any noisy people in the hall can be heard late at night. However we overcame this by using the electric fan as white noise and this solved the problem.
The hotel is very large and has a few restaurants in house to choose from. Just outside the front door is a dedicated breakfast spot with lots of choices. As for other meals you can do very nicely by visiting Covent Garden for the great food on offer in the cobblestone courtyard for around five pound. Or you can splash out at the Savoy across the road and see a show at the same time.
All up the location is a winner - close to three tube stations - but with large luggage the best one is Covent Garden. Decent rooms with a couple of minor drawbacks and a range of food and prices to choose from.

Room Tip: Basic rooms are on the small side if you have large luggage.

My daughters treat for me for christmas so we have both been to London before and stayed at other Hotels to see a show the strand was excellent, the room a twin ideal size lovely and warm & cosy, ideal location for the theatre the strand Buckingham Palace the big eye, underground to enable you to shop till you drop like we did, the evening time we went to Nandos for our meal before the show which again was only 5mins from the Hotel and 5mins from the theatre the following morning breakfast at the strand was very good from light bites to a 3 to 5 courses pending on what you want the staff hotel were all of top score smart clean helpful even the hotel prices for afternoon tea to evening meals were not expensive considering the location and you can even see the Savoy across the road the queens bank coutts on the same side of the hotel so all things considered we stayed in the best hotel in the area for value for money

Room Tip: Will stay again and recommend to friends
