Never again!
Excellent value for money clean great staff couldn't say anything bad rooms are a bit noisy but didn't bother me as I live on a busy road
The telly was broken, the walls/ceilings were burnt, the window didn't open, the towel rail was locked on and the noise did not stop all night! We stayed for one night and we were VERY ready to leave the next morning! It was the hottest day of the year so far and the hotel decided that the heating would remain on, rooms were not air conditioned and the windows were 'restricted for our safety' (didn't open at all!). The whole place was sweltering.
Only one of the two lifts were working which meant to get from Floor 2 to Ground floor took about 10 minutes due to the fact we had to go up to Floors 3,4 and 5 just to go back down again. All rather backwards, if you ask me!
On a plus though the beds were comfy as always and breakfast was delicious. They were the only saving graces. My partner and I love a bit of Travelodge as they are usually such good value for money and you know exactly what you're in for. This one, though, really was quite bad!
I do not know what people were expecting but my stay was fine. Everything you need. Clean. The staff were nice and it was easy to get to from Kings Cross Station. The only issue I had was the fact that the double bed was made of 2 single mattresses but you get over it when you're tired and just want to sleep! As for people saying the road was noisy- I was in a road facing room and it wasn't noisy at all. Obviously if you open the window you are going to hear traffic when you are in a busy area of London but it wasn't TERRIBLE and was quite quiet at night. I slept fine it was clean and the TV and shower worked! Good enough for me for the price!
Definitely tired looking and in need of modernisation but the room was immaculate and the staff friendly, I wouldnt like to think I had paid a lot for the room but for the amount I paid in the sale I thought it was well worth the money.
