Excellent service from the hotel! Very responsive to my special requests!
Sadly after a lovely weekend at the hotel, I had forgotten my favorite glasses from back home in the U.S., and i called the hotel. They found my glasses and shipped it out to a my address (for normal postage fees and no surcharges) within a day! I would definitely stay there again.

Built in the 1860's, this beautiful hotel was one of the first commercial hotels in London. 5 floors high with a fabulous staircase through the centre.
A lovely warm welcome from the doorman and check in at Reception. We were going for tea at the Ritz so did arrive early to check in around 1pm, but after a short wait, our Club Room was ready.
The room was clean and spacious, but a bit dark and the decor, again a bit dark. But apparently, they are refurbishing the hotel, starting from the top and we were floor 2. The only thing was, on the big tv screen in reception, they have photos of the lovely white/green refurb rooms as a luxury double, so with us having a club room, you would expect better and it was slightly disappointing. The hot water was a bit temperamental, but lets' face it, this is character hotel, if I wanted modern chic, would have gone for the millennium hotel round the corner.
The staff were absolutely fantastic here, from the receptionists to the doormen and the bar/restaurant staff, they couldn't do enough.
Location wise, you couldn't get better, right opposite Gloucester Road station and about 10 mins walk from the natural history/science/V&A museums.
Great cocktails in the bar, and the restaurant was Italian theme.
Breakfast is buffet style, everything there you would want.

Loads of restaurants available in the immediate area, absolutely loads, as you would expect in Kensington.

With the Club Rooms, you get access to the club lounge. Again, this was a bit dark, but with a nice coffee machine with water/soft drinks and a few snacks available, we did use a couple of times. A TV and papers were also available.

Next time we are in London, we would definately stay here again, it's a beautiful hotel being lovingly refurbished. You feel like you can imagine all the glamourous edwardian/victorian ladies sweeping down the staircase!

One tip, if you are spending a few days in London, get an Oyster card instead of a daily travel card, saved loads doing this and then when you leave London, you hand back in and get a credit for £5, 3 days of unlimited travel cost us £15 each, bargain! And you don't get many of those in London.

Room Tip: Ask for the refurbished rooms

Stayed here at the beginning of December last year, but originally we had booked the sister hotel next door. We were told upon arrival that there were no double rooms available in our chosen hotel however we would be put in an upgraded double in the Bailey.

This wasn't an issue for us, and the staff were lovely and helpful. A man walked both me and my partner to the other hotel and even took our bags for us.

He explained the situation to the receptionist and we the receptionist booked us in she also gave us a free all you can eat breakfast for the morning which was fantastic!

The room was comfortable and clean, although we didn't spend much time it. Our nights sleep was perfect and we were very happy with our stay.

The location of this hotel is perfect, easy tube to every where around London - you could probably even walk to some places if you wanted some exercise!

The full English breakfast we got offered on the house was disgusting (unfortunately!) and we are happy we didn't pay £17 for it!!!! But it was free so couldn't complain too much.

I'd happily return here for another stay when I next visit London, the hotel and it's staff were lovely. Shame the full English wasn't to a better standard but this definitely didn't ruin the trip for us.

Dear JosieBHAFC,

My warmest thanks for your comments.

I am delighted to read that your visit to The Bailey's was a positive one, although you did not book our hotel at first.
I was however concerned to read your comments about the quality of our breakfast buffet and I would most certainly welcome the opportunity to discuss them with you in more detail. Please do contact me on Sarah.Schmid@milllenniumhotels.co.uk

I hope to see you at the hotel again very soon.

Warm regards

We thoroughly enjoyed our night at Baileys. It is the type of hotel we've always wanted to stay in but have never managed to find up until now. Great value for money & in a great location. We will definitely stay here next time we're in London. Staff were very helpful too.

Room Tip: We just opted for a standard room and it was great. They do have recently refurbished more modern ro...

This hotel was everything it said it would be! Location was perfect. Across the street from the tube, a Starbucks, a grocery store and plenty of local pubs and restaurants. We felt as if the price for breakfast was too steep for our budget so we asked around and discovered a perfect place next door called the Cafe Forum. Ate their 4x's....hotel is beautiful, staff was extremely helpful especially when we needed a public laundromat. The only con I have is that their be another outlet in the bathroom for a hair dryer. The hairdryer was in the closet and a bit awkward...also to charge phoned, iPads, etc.

Room Tip: We did not specify a room type, just a king size bed, but we had a room that was very spacious and a...

I was a bit concerned when I heard it was in a neighborhood. It turns out it is in a great location for walking to many things...Harrod's, Museums, Gardens, etc. Easy to get the bus or underground too. But the hotel itself was quaint and I loved it. I felt pampered but in an historic way. The staff was exceptional (Jonas paid special attention to all details).. Also the restaurant, Olives was fantastic for dinner.

Room Tip: I would suggest a double room if there are 2 people. Otherwise it would be small.
