“Highly recommended!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

We stayed in the Millenium Bailey's for 2 nights along with another couple and cannot recommend it highly enough.
The rooms are spacious and clean with everything you could want on hand - hairdryer, tea and coffee, bathrobes.
Breakfast was a delight with hot, fresh food and immaculately clean tables.
The bar was also great (although a tad busy during happy hour).
Being directly opposite the Gloucester Road tube station and with a bus stop also, the location was perfect for us.

Enjoyed everything about this hotel.
Rooms were descent size (for London's standards) with nice beds and great quality mattresses and pillows.
Breakfast was really good also.
But the best part of this hotel is the lobby atmosphere and the hotel's location which was perfect just few steps from the Metro station.

If you can find a room rate around 100 - 110 GBP (BB) per night I believe its a great deal and you should go for it.

Good value three to four star hotel, conveniently located right next to Gloucester Road tube station so offering very good connections to central and west London. Good sized room and adequately furnsihed. Staff are efficient and welcoming. It has an old fashioned charm, though would add this hotel will need upgrading in the next few years as some of the decor and carpets are in need of a refurb.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Millennium Bailey's Hotel London in June 2012 while on vacation. We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful experience.

Let's begin with the pros.
1.) Location! The hotel is literally across the street from the Gloucester Road tube stop which connects at least three major subway lines, including the subway line from Heathrow. It is also located in a nice, fairly residential area of Kensington, so there are grocery stores, affordable restaurants, and pubs nearby. We especially liked the pub across the street, which was fun to relax at after a long day of sightseeing.
2.) Service. The employees at the hotel were absolutely top notch. I lost my iPhone on the first day of our trip (naturally!) and the employees took it upon themselves to call every place I'd been that day and put in a request for the venues to call the hotel should they find it.
3.) Olives! The bar/restaurant downstairs was wonderful for us. It took me quite some time to get ready, as I wanted to look good on the off chance we met Kate or Pippa. It was great for my boyfriend to be able to go downstairs to the bar for a strong cocktail while I finished getting ready. It was also nice to come home after a long, rainy night out to a nightcap and then head straight to bed. Fabulous!

Here is just one con: While clean, the rooms are fairly dated. If you are looking for the rooms to be ultra-modern and swank, this is not your hotel. That said, I found the rooms charming and very large for a city hotel. We didn't have much of a view, but we didn't particularly care, as we were hardly ever in the room. Like I said, the bathroom and room were CLEAN and nothing was in disrepair -- it was just older. The hallways and elevators were also dated, but certainly nothing we couldn't get past.

Overall, a wonderful stay, and we would stay again, as it was a great value.

With regards to the standard of the rooms please be advised that we are constanly refurbishing our rooms and we are trying hard to balance the fine line to maintain the old style of the property and meeting modern demands.

Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in a single room. The location is excellent, right across the road from Gloucester Road tube station, which meant getting around London was no problem. A few restaurants and shops nearby which was very handy.

The room was very quiet and although not huge was more than adequate for a single. Eat breakfast everyday at the hotel and it was lovely with plenty to choose from. Staff were all very friendly and seemed to enjoy working at the hotel.

The only niggle I had was that they did not replace coffee and milk on a daily basis.

On the whole a great hotel and would definitely recommend and stay here again myself.

Room Tip: Room 429 was very quiet.

A hotel is such a crucial part of your trip, your home far away from home.
This is exactly how we felt when arriving there!

First of all, the location in wonderful: it is infront of the Gloucester Road underground station, with 3 main tube lines stopping there.
Also, it is an 8 minutes walk from Hyde park, and about 2 minutes to major bus stations.
The street has many nice cafes, Like Paul, and Tesco express is available 24/7.

We requested in advance a quiet room in the rear of the hotel, and we got room 425, which was very big and very quiet. We had a no problem sleeping :)

The hotel itself is lovely, not to posh, but beautifully maintained. A large hall, with comfortable sofas, large rooms, carpated (nicely smelling too) corridors.
The bathroom was a bit small, but we did not mind it all.
We did not try the hotel's restaurant as there are so many choices in this area.

The team was very nice and helpful - allways smiling and asking about our day, recommending places to see and restaurants to go to.
We would like to especially thank Sonia, Julietta and Sarah, who were very helpful with instructions on how to go to certain places, designing a trip rout and even calling friends to ask about restaurants that were not tourists traps!

We had a wonderful experience, and will come back again!

Room Tip: Allways ask a room in the rear of the hotel, as other reviews stated that the front rooms facing the...
