“Marriot at it's best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

spent 2 nights on business at the hotel, and despite a bit of refurbishment going on ( which was very discrete and quiet! ) this hotel meets all expectations of a Marriott, from polite staff during check-in who actually showed an interest in me as a customer, to the bar staff and quality of the bar food. The room was spotless, these are the Marriotts that set them apart from the Hilton and other Chains, they have a pride in what they do. They are there when you need them.

All the need now is a Camel and it would be perfect, Sorry private joke between me and reception!

Stayed there early December 2012. They were filming a feature film there at the same time which was a nice occurance.

The room was roomy and nice, but nothing spectacular. Had breakfast in the restaurant, which was your usual hotel breakfast.

Basically everything was OK, the only downside was the location. Although it was a short walk to Swiss Cottage, the hotel seemed to be far away from the places I would go in London.

I travel to London a couple of times a year, and would not choose this hotel again due to location.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your recent stay at the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park.

We are sorry to learn that you only found your experience at the hotel to be satisfactory. Our aim is to make each individual’s stay exceptional and we apologise that your experience with us fell short. Nevertheless, we are pleased that the filming was able to make your stay that little bit more unique.

As you mention, Swiss Cottage underground station on the Jubilee Line is just a short walk away from the hotel. Our location is perfect for shoppers, visitors to the city and sports fans, with direct connection to Bond Street, Buckingham Palace (Green Park station), Parliament Square (Westminster station), Lord’s Cricket Ground (St John’s Wood station) and Wembley Stadium. In addition, the hive of activity that is Camden Town, the chic shops, cafes and restaurants of Primrose Hill and London Zoo in Regent's Park are all just a short walk or bus ride away. Of course, we understand that not every location is suitable for every traveller, but we hope to welcome you again should you travel to London for pleasure.

Thank you very much for your feedback once again.

Kind regards from the team at the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park

Stayed here for 2 nights with extended family for a weekend break. Have not stayed in a Marriott anywhere that has had such friendly and helpful staff - from check in, lobby and bar/restaurant staff. Hotel itself is a bit dated outside but all clean, tidy and modern on the inside. The only let down was the pool changing arrangements and some odd spiral stairs that are showing their age. Breakfast buffet very good, as were meals in the bar. Overall, a great stay in a convenient location for central London. Will stay here again.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a lovely review of the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park; it is wonderful to see such high ratings for all aspects of your experience at our hotel.

We would like to thank you especially for your comments regarding the great service you received from us, so many other guests have commented on this so far and it is fantastic to hear it again! We shall be sure to pass on all these very positive comments to our entire team. We were, however, concerned about your feedback on the Leisure Club changing rooms arrangements, and we would be very grateful if you could respond to our private message in order to discuss this issue in more details.

Regarding your comments on the appearance of the hotel, we are planning a soft renovation of the exterior of the hotel which is due to start early this year and should to give it a new lease of life.

We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to London.

Many thanks and kindest regards from the team at the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park

We stayed here just after chirstmas on the weekend. Customer service is so far the best I have ever received. Starting from the doorman, to receptionist to concierege to waiters in the restaurant and the restaurant manager service with a big smile and they all went above and beyond with the customer service. I must admit, hats off to the GM of the hotel, your staff seems like a one big happy family. The doorman, Sameer (i think his name) went and stood out in the cold weather for about 20 mts to look for a taxi for us. I have stayed at 5 star hotels in NY, London, Melbourne, Amsterdam.. but never seen such a polite bunch of staff. Keep up the good work guys... we left the hotel feeling very happy. One last thing, even the guy who make eggs for breakfast, did a special omlette for me. :-)

We picked this Marriott near Hampstead because it was a better value than the one in Kensington. It is a bit off the beaten path in a lovely residential community, but there is a Jubilee station nearby. The staff was super and very helpful, especially the bellman, Jason, who saved us 40 pounds in cabfare to the airport by telling us about minicabs. Room was large, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast buffet quite expansive. There were lots of children in the hotel, and they had a woman to entertain them at breakfast with balloon animals and face painting, and they loved it. I would stay again.

We spent a very enjoyable weekend stay at this hotel while in London to enjoy some shopping at the sales. The hotel is located in a very affluent middle class neighbourhood of North London. Although its very central and only a two minute walk to Swiss cottage tube from where its just a couple of stops to Baker street the hotel has a somewhat residential feel about it, where although being in the heart of one of the worlds largest cities you feel away from the hustle and bustle. we kind of liked that. We were welcomed on a cold December Friday afternoon into a warm and inviting lobby, where we were offered complimentary hot chocolate and american cookies. a real treat and much appreciated in winter. Think this was an offer on over the holiday period. the lobby had a very festive atmosphere about it. The best thing about this hotel however is the people that work here. The service standards were much higher than any other London four or five star weve stayed in. Every Marriott associate we came into contact with from the security doorman, reception staff, bellhops and concierge, health club staff, bar and room attendants and the lovely Receptionist from Budapest were all amazing, so service orientated and always smiling. This property really make Marriott reward members feel welcome. we loved the loyalty hour in the cocktail bar which runs from 18:00 where Marriott reward members are served half price drinks. This got our evening off to a great start and I had the cheapest bar bill in my life! The hotel also has a great health club, something i find rare in London hotels. Again all much better than your average Hotel gym. Large pool, Turkish bath and Sauna Its open till 23:00, Id suggest using it after 7pm when its child free if you want a good swim and relaxing sauna and destress. The rooms were large and spacious. I generally find hotel rooms in London are smaller but thats not the case here. OK, close the curtins and you may not know if your in London, Paris or New York as the rooms are Typical Marriott International standard but very comfortable and with heating that works. My only complaint is £3.75 for bottled water from the mini bar lets get real this should be complimentary as it is in Sheraton, Crowne Plaza and many other hotels. Also I dispise having to pay for internet. All hotels need to get real with this one. In the 21st century having complimentary inroom wifi is a basic requirement just the same as a powershower or inroom coffee maker. I did have a problem with the temperature of the shower but this was rectified and the lovely receptionist compensated us with complimentary breakfast which I will add was excellent, good quality food and to be recommended. Having stayed in Many top four and five star London hotels I now feel Ive finaly found my London home and look forward to many return visits

I have stayed at the Marriott Regents Park ( I call it Swiss Cottage) for 3 years now on every trip I take to London. Most recently while on vacation with my wife. The hotel is well situated between a nice commercial neighborhood and beautiful residential area in Primrose Hill. There is an underground station and many bus lines within a 5 minute walk. It is a short trip into Central London and very convenient. I cant say enough about the staff and the car and concern they take with all the guests, our stay was very enjoyable and my wife thought it was a great choice of hotels for our vacation.
