Loved staying in this hotel. The whole place has a boutique feel to it from the potted plants outside its white facade, to the shining cocktail bar and tasteful room decor.

The staff are friendly and polite, the room was immpecably clean and fully equipped with all sorts of useful things like PROPER hairdryers and an ironing board - v useful as we were going to a black tie do!

The prices are really reasonable too - you'd pay similar prices for inferior hotels in less handy locations in Central London - slap bang next door to Baker Street tube and handy for Oxford Street shopping and bus routes.

Will I be staying again? Elementary, my dear Watson!

I booked an executive room through lastminute.com but on arriving at the hotel my reservation had been lost. I was first told that as it had been lost, there were no executive rooms available. After a while they told me that they had found one but that I had to wait for it to be cleaned. 40 mins later I arrived in the room (I'm not too certain it was executive, may have been a standard but added the executive tray as was fairly small). The room overlooked a courtyard with fans under the window which were very loud all night. Whilst I like the glass doors of the bathroom I didn't like that there were see through bits so you can see eachother on the toilet! When we went to breakfast in the morning we were shown to a dirty table, that we had to clear ourselves. We were offered no tea or coffee and had to wait 10 mins for there to be clean glasses to have juice. Very disappointed as have stayed at Park Plaza hotels before which were lovely! Thia was meant to be a gift for my boyfriends birthday but didn't turn out so good after all! Really wouldn't recommend, are much nicer hotels available in London that cost less!

We managed to get a really good deal on this through Travelzoo and my Gold Points account. For some reason, the U.S. promo code gave a better discount than the UK one, even though it was the exact same deal! Another example of how we're ripped off in the UK I guess. The "Welcome Tray" and the room upgrade were really good.

There was a problem with the booking system when we arrived, but the desk staff did well to placate the growing queue of people waiting to check in. The lady who dealt with us was very friendly, and apologetic, which made a big difference.

Apart from that, we found the quality of the rooms, the cleanliness and the location are all excellent. You are minutes from Baker Street tube station. As a Londoner, I personally wouldn't bother with Madame Tussauds, but it's minutes away if you are so inclined.

The only thing that we didn't like was the toilet door - you can see right through, which some might find an invasion of privacy if you're staying with someone who isn't used to having it invaded!

Breakfast is a plentiful continental buffet affair, but there's enough to get you ready for the day ahead.

Very surprised on quality of hotel. Took a chance and was very happy. Small, quiet hotel on Baker Street, close to Underground stop, grocery and delis. Staff was polite and helpful. Has very nice bar and restaurant in lobby. Booked executive room with 2 twin beds. Very spacious with desk and chairs. Had safe in closet. Bathroom bright, clean and modern and included Molton Brown tolietries. And, very important in August - self controlled A/C.
