“Wonderful Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

What a lovely hotel! Was here for a night at Valentines and it was perfect. The staff were ever so helpful and friendly, nothing seemed like too much trouble.
The room was clean, cosy and the extra touches (rose petals, chocolates) were the icing on the cake. I would definitely recommend this hotel and can't wait to visit again!

This was our first stay - 8 nights - at this hotel. Everything about it was wonderful. It's a small, boutique hotel that is totally charming. We had a smallish room, which was beautifully decorated in blue and white (the walls were blue and white striped fabric) with lovely furniture and accents. The lighting was wonderful - not something that you can alway count on. Although the bathroom was quite small, it was adequate for our needs and also richly appointed. The beds and linen were of the highest quality. The room was quiet - the hotel is on a quiet side street, so we were never bothered by noise from being in a centally located area. Turn down service provided a lit candle by the tub, sparkling water, and phenomenal cookies!

Staff couldn't have been friendlier or more attentive. There is also a charming sitting room with a fire place where tea and cockails were served, and we spent several hours during our stay curled up reading on a wonderfully comfortable sofa.

Although the hotel was not inexpensive, it was more affordable than some we've stayed at, while not sacrificing anythig. Without hesitation, I will definitely return.

My husband and I planned a trip to London to coincide with a visit to friends who lived a few hours train ride outside of London. With so many hotels to choose from we picked a few that were recommended and decided to try two different ones while in London with our trip to our friends sandwiched in the middle of our week. The first night was in a hotel that seemed more business like and not so tourist friendly. Bummer. We stumbled over The Egerton House when looking online for something more like the London we were hoping to experience. We stopped in and the very friendly young lady at the desk, Christine, made us feel we had come home! Making a reservation, we returned with bags in tow and were assigned the junior suite that was available. The staff from the front desk, the bar, mixing our perfect drinks, to the breakfast each day, were very helpful in every way. Even, advising our plans for touring London and getting tickets to a theatre experience of our choice. The extra mile, was having a cake made for my husband, in celebration of his birthday..waiting in our room after an evening out. Result..we stayed at the Egerton House our
entire time in London. Thank you Egerton House!

Room Tip: Junior Suite had ample room, great view(facing west and quiet. Bed was very comfy. Couldn't comp...

This is a very english, posh and tasteful hotel with a personal touch and super service. Its expensive and it has a great location. You need to be awate though that everything is tiiiiiiny!! Lobby, bar (my god!), stairs, rooms (my god again), bathrooms - its almost miniature so some may find it somewhat claustrophobic. If you are used to big rooms (ie if youre american) or you are obese or disababled you may want to stay clear. The bathrooms dont have floor heating and no real fan either so its a cold and wet experience. Look. Its a sweet little place and the atmosphere and staff is great so I am certain that I am going back but i will have to take a suite i think. Plus of course hope they redo the bathrooms completely.

We have stayed here twice since the Egerton was recommended to us in December by a trusted friend. How right he was and we are delighted to have found a sympathetic environment in which to stay when visiting London, where the staff go out of their way to cater for our every need in a smiling friendly manner. We will certainly be making this our 'home from home' in future and it is interesting to observe that most of our fellow guests seem to be likeminded people appreciating the hotel as we do.

We selected this hotel because of its high rating on TripAdvisor. We spent four nights, including Valentine's Day. This hotel lived up to its high expectation. It's so good that I almost hesitate to recommend it, because it might be booked when I want to go back. The hotel is well-maintained and there all sorts of special touches. The staff is exceedingly professional and bends over backwards to be helpful. The location is superb. Steps from the V & A Museum and Harrods. Perhaps most impressive of all was the quiet room. No street noise. The bath room is well-appointed and spacious by European standards.

Room Tip: We had a quiet room on the 4th floor in the back.

I can't believe it's been a year since our last visit. Two nights in a gorgeous quiet room and staff that have that magic balance of being there if you need them for anything but also letting you treat it like a home from home.
Even the people who drop into the lounge downstairs are all, how can I say politely, really nice to be around.
Tony and his martinis was a legend as anyone who has been there knows.
Ignoring the beautiful building, rooms, spotlessness and peace, I think it's just the atmosphere here that means it's my favorite London Hotel.
It's also only a 15 min stroll to the Royal Albert Hall, through the church grounds then the mews.
