Arrived at the hotel reception just after 12 noon to find a few people in the queue checking out. After a few minutes was attended to by a lovely receptionist who found my booking and alerted me to the fact I have been upgraded to an "Executive Room". Fabulous start to the overnight stay at The Cavendish. The room was indeed ready so could refresh and get straight back out to the afternoon event I was due to be attending. Even better news that breakfast would be available until Noon in the restaurant - I think all hotels should offer this too. Alternatively for an extra charge you could have it ordered to your room.
Room: A cosy room with a bit of a view of the Shard and London Eye. Lovely comfortable bed for a good night of sleep. All requirements in room from hairdryer to iron and coffee and tea making facilities. And always useful in the room, a couple of wine glasses (after me bringing a couple of disposable champagne flutes to toast our treat of a weekend away). Couple of chairs and a table to relax and if so, a large plasma tv too with a good selection of channels. The bathroom was enormous in comparison to the room size but glorious to relax in the bath. Also robe and slippers provided - however only one set in the room but a call to housekeeping and were at the door within 5 minutes proving an amazing service to customers.
Location: Only a few minutes walk from Piccadilly Circus or Green Park, everything on the door step from restaurants (Quaglinos 4 minutes walk - dinner was amazing there) to theatres. Only downside was the noise of clubbers being kicked out of the club around the corner at 3-4am, however I am a light sleeper.
Breakfast was a full buffet from the continental range of croissants, fresh fruits, yogurts, toast, jams to the hot buffet with sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, beans and mushrooms. However don't leave it too late to get down as the hot buffet doesn't get replenished after 11.30am. Also can order freshly made full english from the menu or eggs benedict etc for no extra charge. I did ask for some scrambled eggs as the buffet was empty - wow I was delivered a massive bowl of the most tasty eggs but could not finish. An array of fresh juices too and just what I needed freshly squeeze orange with the bits.
Upon check out they offered to look after our bags too, great service and fab hotel even after check out.. Would definitely recommend.
For the London eye view request room on the opposite side of the lifts and a higher floor.

Thank you very much for your excellent review. I am delighted that you had such a good stay and that you really liked the bathrooms to having a relaxing bath. Nitin our Head Chef will be very happy with your comments about breakfast, while we do not replenish the buffet after 11.30 all of the items are available from the kitchen. As the restaurant is fairly quite for breakfast after 11.30 we do that to ensure that our guests are getting the best possible quality.
We hope that we can welcome you back in the near future.
