“Despite the modern facade this is a high end luxury hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

The rooms are beautiful with warm, old English charm, wood paneling and big vista windows. Half the rooms overlook Hyde Park and is a short walk to Buckingham Palace and changing of the guard. Also very close to Harrods! Charming piano bar in the lobby and elegant sitting parlor. Friendly staff and very good concierge team.

I stayed at this hotel on a recent weekend trip to London. I previously stayed at Marriott properties but have now switched to Starwood. Once I got past the strange exterior appearance of the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to find the room large by European standards. The room was updated and modern. The location was convenient to the Tube and right around the corner from Harrods. The only missing fauture was the lack of a concierge lounge.

Room Tip: Facing the park

If you are from the US - this hotel is NOT your typical Sheraton. It is MUCH better!! Very classy and exceptional staff. Great location (near Harrods) to the Knightsbridge Tube Station which will take you anywhere in London. Right across the street from Hyde Park. Highly recommend!!

Room Tip: We were on the 5th floor and no street noise at all.

Sheraton Park Tower is a very nice hotel located in Knightsbridge (a very "posh" area of London) directly across the street from Hyde Park. Harvey Nichols department store is next door and the Knightsbridge Tube Station is very close, allowing easy access into the more "touristy" areas of Piccadilly and the West End. The Hotel itself is round with the elevators (lifts) in the middle and each of the rooms shaped like a wedge. The bathrooms are large and marble with a large soaking tub and separate shower. I don't know if it was the jetlag, but the bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby. Overall, great hotel in London.

I stayed at the Sheraton on holiday with my wife for 3 nights in October 2012.

The hotel is conveniently located in stylish Knightsbridge close to Hyde Park and next to the Knightsbridge Tube station

The ambience is excellent with a great Foyer and Restaurant that serves a good breakfast and dinner.

Our room was large ( book an executive room) with great business facilities and Wifi. Service was attentive and good.

I will stay there again both on business and pleasure.

Tip: Book a room with a view of the park on a higher floor

Really loved the stylish, old fashioned boutique feel to this hotel. Rooms are well sized with great views over hyde park. Service is very efficient and the piano bar is a cozy, luxurious delling especially when the pianist is playing. Gorgeous place in a great location.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

We stayed here Sept. 19th-23rd. We had a great time at this hotel. The front desk check in went well. My husband is a Lifetime Platinum member and we stayed the whole time on points. We were upgraded to an executive suite (I think that was the title of the room). It was a nicely appointed room with the view of Hyde Park and many foreign embassies that were directly across the street from the hotel. When they found out we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary they sent up a bottle of champagne - it was a nice surprise!!

We had our pick between extra Starwood points and free internet. We chose free internet. She gave us a password which did not work the first two days but we just hooked up using the payment plan and then they took that charge off our bill later. The wifi worked fine (except the password problem).

The room looked as if it had been nicely refurbished. The linens were plush, the pillows great, the mattress firm but comfortable. The bathroom was nice but a little on the small side. One thing that was strange is the blow dryer did not work in the bathroom but only in an outlet that was on the desk area....I found it strange to be blow drying my hair at the desk area in the room but it was what it was. There was a make up mirror on the desk and I guess that is why the mirror was placed there. The only noise I heard from our neighbors was in the bathroom where I could hear their TV - we could not hear anything while in the main living area of the room.

We did not eat at One oh One restaurant but did eat twice in the lounge area. The food was really good in there. Friday night the service was good, Saturday night they were under staffed. We didn't mind waiting as we wanted to hang out there for a while anyways to hear the nice piano music and just relax a bit. The ambiance in the lounge was very nice.

The maid service was good and we tipped a few pounds everyday. For some reason they did not pick up or replace some dirty wine glasses for a few days though. That would be the only complaint about the maid service. They did turndown service every night as well which was nice. They gave us chocolates on our pillow - the the quality of the candy was great!

The hotel is close to Harrods, and also the tube. Use the tube - its a great way to get around. We also walked to Buckingham Palace area and other places as well. London is so clean and we were very impressed with the city as a whole. The hotel is located in a great location! We loved the elevator system too!!

We would stay here again if we ever get back to London again!!
