“Hotel with good location and value!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

The Northfolk towers is a good 4 star hotel after London standards. It has good location with walking distance to the main attractions and shopping streets. We stayed in a club room and it was clean, spacious and of very good standard. The staff in reception, cleaners and waiters was very service minded and helpful. The only thing that could have been better was that they did not have pillow and quilt for the baby cot. Got adult size so ended up using the buggybag(sleeping bag) I also thought the staff taking the room number and orders at the restaurant was a bit to stressful to have around, as they/she looked to much at us, like she was afraid we took to much from the buffer or something. A little more relaxed and all would have been perfect!

We were greeted in a lovely foyer with great reception staff. The check-in process was quick and efficient. The bedrooms were quite old fashioned and small, but very comfortable. The bar in reception never seemed to be manned!
As we visited London in a mini heatwave, air conditioning would have been very welcomed, but unfortunately it wasn't available.
If you proceed all the way down to the cellar bar, you will be surprised to have to pay less than £2 for a pint - tremendous value. They also served got wholesome meals as well.
Paddington station is only a 5 minute walk away, and therefore a great location to most parts of London

Room Tip: I don't think that all have en-suite facilities, therefore it may be advisable to check before m...

A very welcoming hotel near Paddington Station. Rooms were compact but comfortable and well appointed. Getting into the bathroom was a little tricky, but the shower was very good and plenty of shampoo, shower gel etc. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. Excellent continental breakfast. Staff very welcoming and helpful.

We stayed here on the 5th December for 1 night. The reception staff were friendly and we took the lift to the fifth floor where our room was situated. We had a double room which although small, was nicely decorated and furnished to a good standard. The bed was comfortable, the en-suite although small was spotlessly clean and had a good shower, plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room. To be honest, for a hotel within walking distance from Paddington station, you don't expect huge rooms unless you are paying a lot of money - and this hotel is excellent value for what you get. We'd stay here again!

We used this hotel on Fri 5th Dec for one night. After a friendly helpful welcome by reception staff, we went up to fourth floor in lift - no problems. Our attractively furnished twin room was as pictured on hotel website - small, but well thought out, fashionably appointed and very clean. Again the bathroom was small but attractive, little extras like wall mounted magnifying mirror were welcome. Beds were very comfortable. We had a rear room and there no noise issues. I would definitely return to the hotel.

Room Tip: Tip - rang the hotel directly to book the room a week beforehand - got the room for an excellent pri...

Stayed for 1 night with another couple and honestly had the worst hotel experience of my life, and I've stayed in a lot of hotels.

On arrival we were given our room key and paid the balance of £115. We made our way up to the 4th floor and entered our allocated room only to find a couple half naked in there. As you can imagine they were as mortified as us! We went back down to reception to receive a half hearted apology and our correct room number.

That evening we asked for an iron and the iron we were given set on fire and blew all electrics in the room causing a one hour delay in us going out and causing us to miss our dinner reservations.

On departure and once home we checked our account to find the balance of £115 had been taken 3 times and when calling to complain was told this was standard practise and I can expect the funds back in 10 working days. Which is totally unacceptable 3 weeks before Christmas!

I have made a formal complaint and await a phone call back from the manager tomorrow.

DO NOT STAY HERE.
