“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Very convenient location with the bus stop nearly outside the hotel and the underground 3-5 mins away. Its not an expensive hotel and thus anything more than basic should not be expected. Its relatively clean, the continental breakfast is adequate, reception friendly, water with pressure and hot and the heating worked just fine in the room. If u want luxury then its not the place to go but if u are looking for just a place to stay in london that is near everything and wont cost you an arm and a leg than this is the place to stay- i would stay again for sure

Myself, my husband and our friend stayed here in two rooms over an extremely cold weekend. Neither room had a radiator turned on at any point and the windows were in such poor condition that you could feel and hear the wind whistling in on top of you. The window in our room was actually rotting away at the corners. When we complained the following morning, we were told there was nothing they could do (or offer us) - that we should have sorted it out the night before.

Our friend's room stank of damp from the moment she arrived, but when she asked to be moved, she was told they had nothing else available as they were fully booked. The rooms are desperately small, with very basic furniture. The "wardrobe" is two hooks on the wall with hangers hanging from them. The website refers to "luxurious decor" and "flat screen tv's" - neither of which were evident in any of the rooms we seen.

The location is relatively central but we still seemed to spend an awful lot of money getting to and from the West End every day. So something more central would have worked out cheaper in the long run.

Overall, we will not be returning to this hotel. It is cheaper than others in the area, but there are very good reasons why it is.

Our Standard Rooms are of a traditional decor, yet if you are looking for a greater luxury then it's worth bearing in mind that we do also have our Executive Rooms, these were refurbished recently and are available to book on all booking websites and also from the hotel directly. we believe both our location and price are big positives with our hotel. With our location no more than a minutes walk from the station and high road this offers both excellent transport links and amenities.
Thank you.

I wouldn't say this hotel is worth what I paid for as the room was very small, however it was clean so that was the main thing and very central for getting places which was very handy. Breakfast was standard but I don't think the staff should expect you to sit with other couples on the same table which they do ask if they're busy. Would stay here again but purely because its very central and close to Paddington station & the underground.

If you stay here your standards are inadequate.

My boyfriend stayed for one night calling home saying that this is the worst hotel he's ever been in. In his words and he never complains "its like a dungeon" so I decided to come and visit him and I couldn't believe my eyes.

Gross, just completely gross.
How any female can stay here is beyond me nevermind a man.

We walked out with our luggage handing our key in having booked for 3 nights not checking any reviews and moved to the Hilton two minutes away.
The lift didn't work to top it off so had to climb down 4 lots of stairs.

Never go for a cheap option in London if you can help it or you will certainly receive a hostel not a hotel.

Dirty, grimey, disgusting, itchy - overall not nice at all.

My Husband and I and a couple of friends spent 2 nights in this hotel. Our first impression was good, the hotel reception was clean and smart but all stopped when we reached our rooms!! They were tiny, very shabby with bits out of the only chair in the room, the dressing table was scratched and very shabby and the sheets on the bed had definately seen better days!! We were in the roof with sloping ceilings to two sides, and to top this the bed was pushed against the wall. Sitting in bed was difficult and sitting on the toilet with your head on one side was not good either!! There was no wardrobe just a couple of protrusions on the wall to hang clothes. THIS WAS AN EXECUTIVE ROOM!!! although our room was on the 5th floor the double glazed unit was blown so what would have been a reasonable view was spoilt.
We were offered another room but none were available till next day and we were informed that the room on offer would be possibly smaller than the one we already had. To top this when we went to make our coffee that night the milk was solid. We had paid extra for english breakfast which was queried each morning and we felt very embarrased by it all. This was a memorable stay but all for the wrong reasons!!!! Don't be fooled by the lovely room pics on the hotels website as they probably only have one of each.

Room Tip: our rooms were on the 5th floor so avoid these at all costs,or avoid this hotel altogether!
