Stayed here as I needed a room for the night for a friends party. As a budget hotel and a place to bunk down it was fine. I was on the top floor in a basic room and although the decor wasn't great it was clean and the bathroom was modern. Shower didn't work well though. Overall happy with what I got!

This hotel is part of a property with long-term rentals. We had booked a two-bedrom apartment, but werp upgraded to a three-bedroom apartment (as there were some problems with the apartment we had booked). The apartment was very large, and was probably an apartment for long-term leases. The only problem was thai there was no Heathrow in one of the bathrooms (as.there were three bathrooms, this was not a problem for us). On the sesond day of our stay we were reqested to move to a two-bedroom apartment (as we had booked). As our familiy had settled in the apartment, we hesitated to do so, but the member of the staff insisted and offeret us free breakfast the next day if we accepted to move to another apartment. We accepted to move (although the "compensation" hardly reflected the trouble of the re-grouping of our familiy). The new apartment was similar to the first apartment we had, although a lot smaller and it lacked some basis equipment which was provided in the first apartment. Both apartments had some problems with the water (hot and vold water seems to be a general problem). The pool and gym facilities were appreciated, but the pool has restricted times where children are allowed.

The Dolphin hotel is just a short walk from Paddington Station which made it attractive, however there are a number of Hotels in the square so you may get a better deal just turning up. The hotel itself is quite nice. The room I had (single) was quite nice and modern. The heating was great, infant possible to good as I had to open the window. The breakfast (included) was quite nice and filling. The only disadvantage was I was on the 4th floor, as there was no lift I had to drag my bags up 4 increasingly smaller sets of stairs. I would make sure what level your room is on if your not up to some mountain climbing. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is great with the tub close by and plenty of restaurants and cafes.

Stayed for 2 nights second weekend of March. Overall the stay was pleasant, the staff hospitable, the room clean and neatly decorated. The definite pluses were that the room had a water kettle and cups, there was enough space and the shower was quite ok for an old building in London.
The only two things that were not so nice, were the moldy smell in the bathroom that just didn't go away... and the lady at the breakfast that kept on burning the toast in the morning :) As our room window faced the same side as the kitchen`s one... well, the smell of burned toasted woke us up every morning.
Besides that, a great stay! Would recommend it to others.

Only stayed one night. Great location for exploring London. Near to Paddington station. Staff were all helpful and friendly throughout. Decor is a little tired. Room was basic, but clean and comfortable enough. Breakfast room was full, so had to wait for someone to leave before getting a table. Breakfast was good, with the normal choice of cereals, yogurt, cake and tinned fruit. The full English was average. Price was reasonable.
Would I stay again?...maybe. I have stayed in better nearby recently and at a better price. All depends on price and availability at the time of booking.

I stayed 3nights at the Dolphin Hotel during my stay in London and I found the hotel to be in a great location.
My room was very clean the breakfast was great but what I surprised me most was the attitude of the staff.
They were extremely helpful and willing to assist me every time I requested something.
I normally found this service in 4-5 stars hotels.
Great!!

We stayed in a double room for 4 nights. One minute walk to Paddington station.

The staff was very helpful and the room very comfortable and clean.

We couldn't get better for the price in this location.

We will certainly return for our next stay in London.
