We booked a romantic 2 night stay (Friday/Saturday)to celebrate our anniversary in a deluxe double room.
After booking we received an email welcoming us from Daisy the Guest manager asking if she could help.I explained that we were staying for our anniversary and asked for a chilled bottle of Chablis to be in room for our arrival after work (6-7pm) and an hour long massage in Spa for the next day at 5-6 pm..
Daisy confirmed the wine would be supplied by the Hotel as a congratulation and arranged for a discount on the massages also!
As we neared the day we received regular emails providing information and an opportunity to contact.
The level of service was exactly what you expect from a 5 star hotel, from the moment we arrived by taxi- door opened bags collected, to the check in where we were upgraded to an Executive Room and greeted by Daisy's colleague Janine who explained Daisy was off shift.
With such a warm welcome we made our way to our room on the top floor, 605, right next the Presidential Suite and near the Club Lounge which is a loyalty feature that looked well appreciated by residents.
We were delighted to find our bed covered in a message "Happy Anniversary" set out in Red Petals- must have taken some time and a lovely touch.
The wine was chilling in an ice bucket and there was a selection of Petit Fore and Raspberry's on a slate with Happy Anniversary piped across also.
The room was very modern, comfortable but a little short on space - a standard Exec room but with some nice touches that elevated from the rest.An Ipad was very useful for both in room dining,ordering from Pillow Menu (recommend the moulding pillows - soft but perfect for a nights sleep), extra treatments in Spa and browsing web for restaurants - all with free broadband.
The shower was excellent, a variety of jets in addition to a waterfall style from ceiling.
Complimentary water and newspapers were welcomed.
We did not dine in the restaurants but the menu did look good (Only one issue all weekend - Ordered breakfast via Ipad but this did not arrive- removed from bill once we reported)
The Spa treatments were superb and just what was needed.
Throughout our stay the service was exceptional- Janine and Daisy checking we had all our needs fulfilled.
A great location and if you are looking for 5 start accommodation and service this is just the place
