got this hotel on a lastminute type website...it was a serious disappointment. I know it has a historical significance in the lobby and bar area but the actual usable lobby was sad and shabby and although the staff were efficient and friendly, it didn't make up for this hotel being just plain outdated.
The corridors and carpets in them and the doors were like something you might see in the 70s and the elevators are old and outdated, too...the concierge and bag man were helpful but other than the staff, I can't think of any other redeeming qualities.
I would avoid this place!
