- Decent breakfast available
- Rooms were more like a 5 star hotel, ultra modern
- Friendly staff.
- 1 block from Thames River and excellent mid-priced resturants
- 1 block from farmers market.
- Plasma TV
- Air Conditioning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CONS:
- Way over priced Internet access. 10 pounds a day for wireless or 6 pounds 1/2 hour on hotel computers. Ouch! Best to go to an internet cafes in the area for 1 pound 1/2 hour.
- Small rooms, but this is not the USA so understandable.
- Clock is on plasma tv, but cannot be seen from bed.
OVERALL:
Although this hotel is not close SOHO, Picadilly, Buckingham Place, it is only a 10 min tube ride to these areas. Also you are slightly away from the hords of tourist that flock to these areas. There is a lot to explore on the south side of the river. The resturants the run the course of the river on the south side are excellent. Hotel is close to the Globe Theater and there a lot of interesting shops and resturants / pubs around the Globe Theater. The WWII musemum is below the train station as well as the London Bridge Dungon which is very interesting. I would definitly stay at this hotel again. You can get better rates at otel or hotelsrus. I paid ~71 Pounds a night. It was a great deal.
