“Quick service and very tasty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

My niece suggested that I take her to Byron on Glouster Road, and I am glad that I did. It was a good experience. The food was sufficient in quantity, the service was efficient despite it being nearly full, and despite the rush nobody hinted at us to leave while we spent a bit of time chatiing and eating. Price is lsihtly expensive but cheaper than many. Worth going!!!

“Great food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

Byron makes traditional and updated versions of hamburgers and salads fresh and interesting, and even has a great wine selection. The wait staff were all fun and friendly. It somehow manages to be welcoming and satisfying to a wide customer base from upscale international tourists, to families, to cool hipsters without ever feeling pretentious. It's casual and fun and the food is delicious. A great mix of customers from around the world who all seemed equally happy with the great food and fun atmosphere.

“Good Burger - rest dissapointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

BYRON – OK …
Was in the Cromwell Rd area for a couple of nights and doing a quick look around on-line saw that BYRON was recommended.
Although I am a bit suspicious of reviews that said it’s best in London for this etc. ….. my experience is not that.
Location - It was 2 mins walk from my Hotel,(Crown Plaza –Kensington) and about 1 min (across the Rd from Gloucester Rd, underground station.
The place itself is reasonable enough, well light, modern …. But not antiseptic as is case with some places. It was about 80% full when I arrived – 2000 on a Tues.

Menu is what you would expect … Burgers & sides, and a few salad options.
After reading that this had fantastic Mac&Cheeese, I ordered this ‘side’ as a starter – portion big enough, but was bland … very devoid of cheese & flavour ….. I left most of it as a result.
I ordered their specialty ‘Byron’ burger, ‘skin-on fries’ and onion rings.
The burger was offered to be cooked how you want, I asked for Medium .. and that is what it turned up as …. Perfectly cooked, and to be honest the actual burger was fine ….. as were toppings, and had good flavour.
The bun is too much for the quite small burger, so I left all of the top half …. It felt like a whole loaf of bread being used to make one sandwich.
On the size of the burger – as mentioned it really was quite small, it did not say a weight, but I’m assuming 4oz. ….. if it was more than that I’d be surprised. Maybe they should offer a ‘double burger’ …
The ‘skin-on-fries’ were fine, good portion size, but the onion rings were in my opinion inedible …. They had a very large quantity of batter, appear home made, but the batter was tasteless, be far better if it was a beer batter or seasoned ……. But in any event it was far too oily ……… almost dripping with oil, overpowering the onion.

In summary – good burger, but the rest was not that good ………. Price for mealk including a large bottle of mineral water £23 (£9.25 for burger)

“Burger Heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

This place is off the charts when it comes to QUALITY meat!! At our table there were 4 different types of burger but all cooked to perfection!!
They had some great American beers in the bottles.
A must for anyone with a taste for meat in a bun.

“Best Burgers in London with Fab beers!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

I cannot describe in words how amazing the food is at Byron's. It's just perfection. Staff were lovely and genuinely friendly. And, the big surprise for us, was they had some really unusual, lovely beers available, that you don't see around. They even had a beer that the staff helped develop and is named after them. It went so well with the burgers. The chips were gorgeous and the salad was massive. I must have had a whole advocado on it. They have nice quirky ways to serve the food too, like little metal pots etc. Next time we're in London we will definitely be back there.
