“Great value and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

We stayed for two nights recently and found the hotel to be clean, efficient and friendly. It was also economical and in a good location. We had a bunk room which was quite narrow, but that was our choice. Otherwise, the room was fine. The bathroom was modern and very clean and the kitchenette proved very handy. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Hi rikaOK and great to hear you had a top stay with us ;). Just confirming what you just said, we have different room sizes so feel free to ask for a showround of our other room types on your next stay. All the best.

Our family had 2 rooms for 5 nights: deluxe for 4, and a superior for 2.

The location is great as it is a 2 minute walk to Earl's court tube station which has the Piccadilly line (direct service from Heathrow airport) and the District line (which takes you to London's attractions downtown). There are numerous restaurants and small grocery stores as well as other services in the area. No need for a car.

The hotel is quiet, clean, and nicely renovated. The small kitchenette with a fridge is very convenient. Most of the rooms are small, but that is expected in London.

We stayed at this hotel (under the name "Base2Stay Kensington") 5 years ago. The name of the hotel recently changed to the Nadler. Five years ago we paid 40% less per room for the identical rooms in this same hotel, at the exact same time of the year (end of June). The room rates were an excellent value 5 years ago, but now the hotel is overpriced, even when considering that London is an expensive city.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Hi travelerLondonON, thanks for your comments. I am very happy that you remembered us after 5 years; we must have done a very good job ;). In terms of rate fluctuation, I must assure you that this is unrelated to the name change, which was a recent re-branding to better reflect the nature of our 2 hotels in London (The Nadler Soho, just opened in June 2013). Hotel rates now do fluctuate, like airline prices, depending upon circumstances, like time of the year, booking in advance, occupancy etc. and after 5 years, rates will have risen in any case! The bottom line is - we are still the same as 5 years ago, so please give us another try and either book in advance or perhaps check the different offers available at various times. That said, I am very glad that you enjoyed our hotel and location as much as you did in the past.

Great location, great staff, great price for a London hotel. The rooms are adequate, with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The wifi went down on the morning but was back up after they did a quick reset. If you want 5 star luxury, this is not your place. If you want great quality for a decent price in an overpriced city, go here!

Hi MaartenA, thanks a lot for your review. Our staff are always very responsive and I am glad that they fixed the Wi-Fi bug right away. We also have another hotel in Central London based in Soho, worth checking if you want to be right in the heart of the city. Although we do not market our hotel as a 5 star, we want to offer both a 5 star service and 5 star value as you rightly mentioned on your review.

I was pleasantly surprised what a great hotel this was. Good location, a couple of block's from Earl's Court tube. The room was much bigger than I expected, and the bathroom was bigger than your typical London bathroom. I liked having a refrigerator in the room and not a mini bar, so I could my stuff in there. And the air conditioning worked well.

The front desk also has a list of nearby restaurants that will give you a discount. I tried one and it was one of the best meals I had in London (sorry can't remember the name, because it was on the card I used to get the discount).

I will definitely stay there again next time I am in London, and will recommend it to my friends.

Dear Cindy S, Its always a pleasure to read reviews like yours that are so complimentary, but even more so when a large part of what made a guest's stay special were some of the unique features of our concept, like the mini kitchen and our restaurant discounts with some great local partners. I am also delighted to read your comments on the room size, as we have a wide choice, including larger rooms like yours. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

I was impressed with their fast service and their courteous and professional staff. The rooms are small but that is to be expected in London. The hotel itself was not easy to find, but is close to the tube once you know where it is.

Got off to a great start as the hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from Earl's Court tube station which brought us straight from Heathrow Airport. The front desk staff could not have been more friendly, helping us with our bags and offering us some tea after a long haul flight from Australia. Room was bright, very clean and looked out on a delightful private courtyard. The mini kitchen was fantastic as we could bring back food from Marks and Spencer and also have tea, coffee etc 24/7.
The hotel also provides discount vouchers for local eateries. Highly recommend Balan's just around the corner for a great breakfast.
We would return here in a flash!!!!!

Thank you for a wonderful review, regretnothing1928! All our team were delighted to read it and were wondering what your 'nick name' referred to. Was it the introduction of the first Speedos in that year? We look forward to your next visit!
