“Great Hotel - one of a kind”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

The rooms are really individually decorated, no two the same. Pricey, but the quality of service and comfort goes with it as well. The front desk folks remember the last visit you made, no matter how far in the past. Nice.

Room Tip: room 417 - faces the back of the hotel and has a lot of room.

“Very good but pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

This hotel was part of a Christmas present which included a west end show. The hotel was very good and the staff very pleasant and helpful. It was only a short walk to the theatre so we expected to pay a premium for this location. Our room was sumptious, clean and warm, as was the bathroom. The "turn down" service was a nice surprise. My niggle was the absence of tea/coffee making facilities in the room which for a £300 plus a night hotel I find an unecessary and avoidable ommission which spoiled the warm and personable welcome we received. The mini bar prices are ridiculous and deserve the boycott I imagine all but the desperate enact. The breakfast was included in the room rate (fortunately) and was very good also. I would stay again - if they will provide tea/coffee in room!

“Great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013 via mobile

The rooms are great. Very nice and good size. Fantastic location and also a good gym. Also stayed in its sister hotel the soho which is an inferior location but I liked the hotel a bit more and the staff at the soho were more friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

“We shall return...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

...to this cozy, elegant, quiet, clean, charming, cheerful, well-run boutIque hotel with the best breakfast you will find anywhere. And generously provided wifi throughout. With Neal's Yard across the street, a "Diagon Alley" shortcut on the way to the CG station (we didn't take the tube this trip - plenty of taxis and no traffic).
Coffee addict? Skip the Starbucks and look for the line of people heading into Monmouth Cofffee Co. across the street from the hotel.

“good stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

stayed here in October on a business trip and was pleasantly surprised. the staff were very friendly and the hotel was good although a little noisy at Times but then what do you expect from London? would definitely consider the hotel again if I was to return to the area.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Covent Garden Hotel opened in April 1996 but the building dates back to the 1890’s when it operated as a French hospital. It is located in Monmouth Street, a charming cobbled street in the heart of the theatre district and surrounded by interesting boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars. Covent Garden Hotel is "a quirky modern take on traditional English style." The hotel's interior has been dramatically designed by owner and design director Kit Kemp, and reflects her personal attention to detail. The ground floor is just like a stage set. A quietly bustling lobby leads into Brasserie Max, the hotel’s bar and restaurant. Up a sweeping stone staircase and into a sumptuous wood paneled drawing room and library, each with a log burning fireplace, quirky furniture and vivid upholstery. Downstairs there is a gym, private event space and a screening room. ... more   less
