“An expected pleasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013 via mobile

I visited this cafe in December with my sisters and a friend. We had been trekking around looking for somewhere to have a good traditional fry up but were too late everywhere we went including 'The Cafe Below' where we had enquired where else they could recommend we try! After another unsuccessful trek, we decided to return to 'The Cafe Below' to have lunch- thank goodness we did! The food was fantastic- I had a delicious sweet potato and feta quiche, a lovely salad with pinenuts and roast potatoes- it really was fantastic and excellent value too. We were served by a lovely guy who was a credit to their team. I will be sure to make a point of returning here with my family next time we are in London!

couldn't find Cafe Below listed on Trip Advisor. Had great early supper there this evening. Great food and terrific location!

“nice church...GREAT cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2010

Bow church is famous for it's connections with its historic bells. This beautiful Wren church is well worth a look and offers a nice sanctuary from the noise and chaos of the financial district it is located in.

There was a nice exhibit detailing the history of the place on the day we went there, including some great photos showing how the place had been gutted by bomb damage during the Blitz.

But the real gem of this place is the restaurant and coffee shop, located atmospherically in the crypt downstairs. The grub is good and I thought this was a fantastic place to grab a bite to eat and a coffee the evening I went there.
