“Beautiful and serene”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

The interior of this cathedral is breathtaking. The mosiacs are works of art. I am not very religious, but I found it a very serene place and very interesting to look around. The top two galleries were closed for maintenance, but we did make it to the Whispering Gallery.
Overall a very pleasant experience.

“Impressive church, but not much to see.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013 via mobile

Impressive church, but not that much to see inside. We walked up to the whispering gallery in the dome - lots of stairs. If you are scared of heights, this may not be for you. We couldn't go outside on the roof as it was being renovated. No photos are allowed, which is a shame. We stayed back for Evensong at 5pm - the choir sounded amazing.

“Disappointed ”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013 via mobile

Was looking forward to visiting this magnificent but when we found that it costs £15 per person and you weren't allowed to take photos we decided against going in. We were able to catch a glimpse of the interior and it looked great.

But with a cafe, a restaurant, and a shop inside it I couldn't stop thinking that this is not a house of worship, it was more of a money making business.

“awe-inspiring beauty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013 via mobile

Visited St. Paul's two times week of Feb. 18th. This is amazing since this is the fifth catedral built on the same spot since 604bc. or ad, sorry cant't remember, doesnt matter as the current is amazing. Admission is well worth it. Have necer had so much useful and detailed information provided on an audio guide before, appreciated it. Second visit was on a Saturday which a wedding was being held in lower level (crypt) and all visitors were prevented from viewing the high alter area on main level (included memorial to American war veterans) and crypt area. Free guided tour by one of the many volunteers provided. prepurchasing tickets would expedite bypassing long entry lines. Food in dining area in lower level was very good.

“A Most Magnificent Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

What a remarkable experience it was to have attended Sunday morning's sung Eucharist at St. Paul's Cathedral. On a previous visit, I had attended Evensong. At that time, a friend's son attended the choir school and sang at nearly every service. Despite the usual, rather expensive charge for weekday entrance to the Cathedral, it would be worth the cost. The magnificence of this church along with its extensive history, is most inspirational. Later in the afternoon, I returned for an organ concert. What a brilliant experience that was! Whether attending a service or simply touring this historic cathedral, I would highly recommend a visit. In addition, in response to several reviewers who expressed concern regarding the attitude of the people who work at St. Paul's I would say everyone with whom I came in contact was most considerate and caring.
