“Friendly Animals”

I took a walk by the lake in St James Park where there were wierd and wonderful birds mixed in with the pigeons! The squirrels there were so bold compared to most and people were hand feeding them! Great diversity of wildlife!!

“Pretty even in the cold rain”

I think the best thing about this park is that you can pretend you are truly a wealthy Londener out for a springtime stroll!

“Between central attractions”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

A good sized green space between Parliment Square and Buckingham Palace (with a lake). This is a lovely space with many pathways which connect to all edges of the park. Flower beds are planted according to the season and look spectacular. Good views of Buckingham Palace.

“A lovely walk for some peace and quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

St. James Park is a nice place to enjoy a stroll away from the Park Lane throngs of people. Flowers were popping up given spring time, although the wind and drizzle during my walk made it seem more like autumn! Regardless, plenty of birds singing, and squirrels walking right up to me, perhaps they thought I was going to feed them. Overall a nice place, small enough to walk around, get some fresh air and enjoy peaceful time.

“Overly friendly squirrels”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Wonderful place for a stroll in the midst of a day of sightseeing. Great place to relax and enjoy a sunny day. Maybe pack a picnic if you have the time. I would be wary if you have anything of the edible variety. The squirrels here fear nobody and will gladly come up to you if you appear to be the least bit inviting. I definitely recommend going in the spring or autumn.
