“Great at night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

Took the tube to have a look at the theatre areas all lit up, very nice. If your coming here for dinner move to the off streets for a better price meal. ( just as any other famous square around the world). But worth a look.

“People People/ Alot for the Senses”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

If you are a teen, and like to sit around a crowded fountain with other teens...or if you like to look at teens crowded around fountains...then this is the place for you. Jokes aside, there is a lot of action, lots to see, get your "Times Square" fix. You can drop into Chinatown , or West End, or over to Covent Garden area. Beautiful walk up to Oxford st...or if tired hop one of the many buses that go up Regent between Oxford and Picadilly...sit on the upper deck at the front. beautiful architecture.
IF you need any sporting goods Lillywhite's has a massive selection and is right on the Circle.

“When in London, a Must See.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

We had one day in London on the front end of our trip to Venice, so we took the tube to Piccadilly Circus to do a bit of shopping and sightseeing. We had lunch at a nice little pub (fish and chips, duh) and took in the people watching.

A nice feature of the Underground is that stations down to the tube are located throughout Picadilly Circus, which is sort of like Times Square in NYC. Lots of shopping, pubs, restaurants (some by the same name on almost opposing street corners). Shopping, shopping, shopping!

It's truly a spectacle. Movie theaters, pubs, restaurants, souvenir shops--we went to Brittania, which is a three story shop of everything British. Check out that Mini Cooper in the entry way painted in the Union Jack colors and theme. Keep your eye out for street performers, which were in abundance when we were there. Take the side alleys to see all that there is to offer here.

A must see!

“Like Times Square”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

Piccadilly Circus is almost like Times Square except the buildings are much prettier and elaborate. Many high end shops are here and there are also small alleys with cafes. Right by is China Town, which is the best place to get cheap souvenirs. Piccadilly Circus, Chinatown, Covent Garden and Soho Square are all nearby each other so you can cover all of them in two evenings. Very lively at night, a lot of fun to look at when you're going through on a bus.

“Big tourist place in London!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

Great to get out of the underground and see the theater area. Go to Brittania to buy souvenirs especially Beatles kind. Restaurants are not that great and they are overprice.
