“Very good high end hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

I'm more a budget sort of guy normally, but this hotel is next door to the office - and over a few stays I've found them very friendly and well organised. Someone manages the team very well. There are no 'plastic smiles' - they really seem to care about what they are doing.
The rooms are well laid out and comfortable - not cramped and over done like some (most) London hotels. This is luxury - without unnecessary bling.
The breakfast is beautiful.

Room Tip: Every one I've had has been good.

Situation : In a very pleasant location, very calm, not far from all busy sites too and Harrods ! Shopping obliged.
Very comfortable room with high quality set up (bed, bathroom, sofas and decoration), except towels too small.
Efficient, discreet and charming staff.
We didn't get the pleasure to have dinner in the place, because the restaurant was closed. But the breakfast is delicious and very quickly served by the room service.
I would like to say that the bar is not enough friendly, too cold and not enough cosy. But it's a detail.
However, it is a very comfortable hotel to recommend for a stay in London.

Dear Ysabel N,

Thank you very much for taking your valuable time to share your experience here at The Halkin by COMO following your recent stay. While I was very pleased to read that you overall very much enjoyed your stay, I was sorry to read that our bar was not able to live up to your expectations. Your feedback is very much appreciated and we will certainly review any areas of concern. On the other hand I am delighted to hear that you very much enjoyed our breakfast. It also gives me great pleasure to share with you that our new Basque restaurant Ametsa with Arzak Instruction is going to open very soon.

Please do let me know when you are planning your next visit to London. I would be delighted to personally assist in making your stay with us as memorable as it can be.

Dear doctor30,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience here at The Halkin following your stay last November. While I was delighted to read that you overall had a great stay, I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the not so memorable dinner experience you had. This is certainly not indicative for the high service standards we strive for and we welcome every opportunity to improve any areas of concern.

Please do let me know when your travel plans will bring you back to London.

Sincerely,

Claudia

We had a very nice stay at the Halkin. Room was nicely decorated, with everything you could need, and a nice bathroom with large bath and very powerful shower. Very comfortable bed.

Staff were friendly and a complimentary bottle of bubbly as it was my wife's birthday was a nice touch.

We also had afternoon tea, which was very nice and they accommodated my wfie's gluten allergy.

My only complaint is the price of the afternoon tea - £100 for 2, which included half a glass of champagne, was too much (3 half sandwiches, 6 mini scones and 2 cakes), I think this is not good value for money compared to other establishments, and the bar / restaurant are is lacking atmosphere.

Dear edwowen,

Many thanks for sharing your experience following your recent visit earlier in January. While I was very happy to read that you and your wife overall had a lovely time celebrating this special occasion, I was of course disappointed that your afternoon tea experience was not as memorable as we would have hoped for. Please rest assured that your feedback is very important to us and that we will do our utmost to improve the areas of concern.

Looking forward to welcoming you back to The Halkin by COMO, I remain at your service should there be anything I can assist you with.

Kind regards,

Claudia

This hotel, for me, is quite simply one of the best in London. Our standard double room was a good size and clean. Staff were possibly the most welcoming and accomodating that we've met.
We stayed room only so cannot comment on the food. The breakfast room was bright and cheery rather than oppulent.
Would we stay again? Absolutely!
