“Simply outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

From the moment you arrive you are stepping into a hotel where customer service is key and attention to detail is outstanding. All staff make you feel like you are the most important person in the hotel. The reception and concierge teams are exceptional. We were celebrating a Birthday and also enjoyed a wonderful meal in the restaurant. As mentioned in some reviews expect to pay but wow its worth it!

I've stayed at this property several times since it's renovation. It's one of the chain's best hotels. From check in to check out, the service is first class. My rooms have been excellent every time. The design is amazing and the lay out excellent. I find them to be very spacious. The staff are well trained, friendly and very accommodating. The location can't be beat.

There are so many really amazing hotels in London, especially in the $700+ range, so I found the four seasons park lane incredibly disappointing. Although I was upgraded (a few categories) my room was cramped and had no bath. When I ordered room service, the trolly could barely fit into the room. Beyond being small, the room is generic (reminded me of the rooms at the Mandarin Oriental in Boston) and could be anywhere in the world--middle east, maybe Hong Kong.

Back to the room service: I ordered a shrimp appetizer for £29 ($47 USD) before the added tax/service/delivery. There wasn't anything culinarily exceptional about the shrimp, although they were large, simply prepared and doused in butter. I bit into one and felt grit as I tasted something off---The shrimp hadn't been deveined, that is their digestive tracks hadn't been removed and since the shrimp were large the "veins" were very large too. Besides being gross and possibly a health risk, the dish was uninspired and the shrimp were over cooked. Even if they had been properly cleaned, the dish would have been a failure. Other hotels in this price bracket also have wildly expensive room service, but the Dorchester or Claridges have really amazing room service that is well worth the high prices.

Another gripe is that the room wasn't sound proof and I heard both my neighbors and sounds from the street/park.

Beyond the bland but expensive room and food, the service was poor from the concierge and front desk. Also, I was irked by the wifi: free but VERY slow (much slower than using cell phone data) or pay £20 ($32) for faster wifi. At $1,000/night extremely fast, reliable wifi should be included.

I've stayed in many hotels in London and this was the worst value. If you're looking for a wonderful place to stay, there are so many other better options in London.

I've stayed at the Four Seasons in London about three times, primarily for business, where entertaining clients was the primary purpose. We were lucky that our stay was covered by a third party, or this might have been out of our price range.
Each time, the experience has been very good, if not excellent.
Upon check-in, the front desk is waiting, they have your reservation on hand, and they are friendly and accommodating.
The hotel is just outstanding for the UK. This hotel is situated across from Buckingham Palace and walking distance to many attractions including the original Hard Rock cafe located around the corner, and of course the hotel is not far from the shopping areas as well. Couldn't be better in terms of location. The subways are right across the street if you have somewhere to further to go.
The familiarity of large rooms, such as we have in Canada and the US was comforting upon arrival. The rooms were clean and bright, laden with all the amenities one would expect for a 4 Seasons. The concierge was very helpful and cheerful, with making recommendations, helping with directions, getting taxis and dinner reservations. By the second visit, my friend Nigel, the concierge had remembered my past visit and even my name. They take care in insuring that your stay is worth the 500 or so pounds one will pay for a night at this hotel. The beds were dreamy. A good night's sleep is something which comes easy at this place.
The hotel itself is decorated beautifully, the lobby bar provides tea at 4 pm every day, and the second floor restaurant is available for lunch and dinners. (we went out pretty much every night so we did not experience the restaurant) Overall, if you have the cash to stay at this hotel either for business or pleasure, it certainly will provide the elegant experience you would expect.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing Park Lane. You can see the palace and the main thorougfare from your room. Its...

Enjoyed a really good second stay at Four Seasons. Checked in at 1pm and our room was available which in itself is bliss for the transatlantic traveller. Great view of London from 9th floor - the shard, the London Eye and other landmarks made for a pleasant first impression. Well furnished room in a stunning luxury decor of dark floor to ceiling wood panelled walls, oversize writing desk with multiple plugs, two comfy wool club chairs with cocktail table, concealed hallway with good size dressing area and very generous closet space leading to luxe marble bath with gleaming nickle fixtures. A well planned room layout where every detail has been carefully considered. Free WI FI is definitely a good incentive to stay! Genuinely helpful staff called to ask if there was anything they could do. Room service breakfast was delivered on time and perfectly as ordered. Breakfast at Amaranto was very good. Only somewhat disappointing was dinner at Amaranto - our dishes were not the flavorful Italian I expected. However I will definitely return to Four Seasons Park Lane!

Room Tip: rooms on the higher floors offer a great view of London

This is a wow hotel. Everything is perfect. Very pricey but well worth every penny. The staff made me to feel at home. Will l be staying here again? Hell yeah!! No bad points at all.

The hotel is close to hyde park corner, lots of restaurants, bus stops an train stations. Bond street is very close as well for those who like to shop.

Amazing hotel if you want to be pampered

Room Tip: Amazing location. There are restaurants, train stations, hyde park corner, bond street for your shop...

The English know how to keep guest happy and this hotel isn't any different ! You get what you pay for! It is very expensive but there isn't anything they wouldn't do for you! I love the doormen here and everyone else but they are true prof. Great location, rooms where very nice and they made me feel like I was home. Always addressed me by name and they would help my 21 year old son with anything he need while I was in meetings. Great place
