“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

I usually stay at the Brown's Hotel when in London but I visited the Connaught this weekend as my wife and I fancy a change for the future. We were immediately greeted and shown to the bar. We had a pot of tea and the kind waitress suggested a hot chocolate for my son, which was eagerly accepted. Franchesca at reception was wonderful and extremely charming. She offered to show us around the hotel and the spa - such a warm welcome and we weren't even guests! We have made a reservation for this month and can honestly say that we can't wait!

Very nice afternoon tea. Plenty of food, which was of a high quality. Slightly forgotten occasionally at end of the restaurant, but otherwise great. Also looked after a member of the group who was gluten free well.

Tradition London style. Fantastic restaurant, bar and roon service. Located in the heart of Mayfair. The Connaught is the ultimate in five-star luxury. Scott's Seafood Restaurant is just around the corner. A short walk to the Red Lion Pub - Mayfair for a delightful bitters and lunch.

Room Tip: The suites are fabulous.

Fabulous hotel, The Connaught, in a splendid part of London. I was lucky to get a room overlooking the fountain and the trees in front of the entrance, which was quite magical after dark.
My room was ok, spacious and not too big, but i found it a little dark, even with all the lights turned on. The bathroom was really nice, with underground heating and both shower and bathtub and luxurious Bamford toiletries.
the negative points were checking in, which was a little slow, considering that they all my details already and extremely slow service at breakfast the day after.
Overall it is a great hotel and I would go back with no hesitation.

We enjoyed afternoon tea in Espelette and had a wonderful time.
The setting is beautiful, and we were treated very well from the moment we arrived - the food was lovely, yummy sandwiches, cakes, scones, jams and of course champagne, The choice of teas was good, and we were sent away with boxes of extra cakes to take home with us.
We were then invited to sit in the bar area (the Art Deco one) which was also really lovely to sit in - sparkly, beautifully appointed and with lovely service.

The Connaught is a great hotel, if you are looking for an afternoon of luxury and attention in a posh setting - this is it.

It will take a lot of persuasion to convince me that there is a better restaurant in London than at this hotel. Cheap it isn't but, as you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant, it is worth every penny and more. The food is exquisite, the service unbeatable, decor wonderful. The whole dining experience is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
I struggle for adjectives to describe how good this restaurant is, suffice to say it is absolutely superb

Small, intimate and welcoming yet full of live in some of the Londons best and classy hotel bars. Great both for business and leisure, walking distance to main London shopping and business areas. It has vibe and feels fresh though still maintains class and unspoiled luxury.

Personal preference is for the traditional English rooms not the modernised ones (though it aspire to others).

Room Tip: Definitely traditional rooms
