“Wonderful base with friendly, helpful staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

Little to add to what others have already said - this was a wonderful base, as a single female traveller. Room was small but perfectly formed, with everything I needed. I loved the tea in the afternoon and hot chocolate before bed. The staff were exceptionally friendly and I look forward to a return stay.

Dear Guest,

Thank you so much for your positive feedback. We have to admit, the afternoon tea is a firm favourite of ours too! There is nothing like a good cup of tea to make the world right again. We are so proud to hear you had such a wonderful time with us and look forward to welcoming you back soon!

Traveling solo, and yes, the room was very small - but a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Great place to recover from the crowds and frenetic pace of London. Located off Sloane Square next to a church primary school, with a large garden in the back. Amazingly quiet. The staff are superb. Small but well equipped room with a good sized bathroom. Even had a converter for US electrical plugs. WiFi worked very well. I was sorry to leave and am already looking forward to a return trip!

We picked this spot as we were in England for a few days right before Christmas. The Draycott was perfect. Our room was full of antiques and had direct access to a neighborhood garden. The hotel is right near Sloane Square so we were in walking distance to local restaurants, high-end shops (from tiffany & co. to a lovely market/deli) and the tube. We were a bit concerned about staying outside of Knightsbridge but we loved this Chelsea neighborhood. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. We will return.

We had a wonderful stay at the Draycott. Our room opened onto a private neighborhood garden and the room had a lovely fireplace and sitting area. The bed was very comfortable with excellent high and linens.

The hotel is right near Sloane Square which is full of restaurants and various high end retail such as Tiffanys and Co. It was very easy to get around London from the hotel.

The hotel was the perfect spot to enjoy English hospitality for the holidays. The hotel offered many personal touches including afternoon tea and various little surprises came to the room for the holidays. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely return to the Draycott.

Beautiful hotel and our room was very good and spacious for London with plenty of storage space. The access on to the garden at the back was appreciated as the weather was quite hot when we were there; staff are happy for you to take tea/drinks there. Good breakfast and first rate staff. Would definitely stay there again

Room Tip: We had a room on the street facing side of the hotel but had no problems with noise

The staff at the Draycott was outstanding. The hotel was clean. However, the hotel itself is dated. Our room, especially the bathroom, needed to be updated, painted and repaired. Perhaps other rooms have been upgraded and they haven't gotten to the room we stayed in. The photo of the hotel is of the back of the building. The street entrance is much more unassuming and is not as grand as the photo might indicate.

Thank you for your feedback it is greatly appreciated. We are in the process of updating our rooms. The public areas and dining room was refurbished recently and we are focusing on bathrooms and bedrooms currently to keep it fresh. I am sorry your experience was not one hundred percent to your expectations. Please contact us should you visit London again. I would love to show you the improvements.

Whenever we are in London we stay at the Draycott - so it is a bit like coming home each time. It is a wonderful place to stay with extremely friendly and helpful staff who make you feel really welcome. I guess nothing more needs to be said...

Room Tip: There are no bad rooms. All the suites have open fire places, and some of the double rooms have as w...
