“hard to credit such treasures”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

The exhibits in the Treasures Gallery are breathtaking: ancient sacred texts, illuminated medieval works and much more. Sometimes you can hardly believe these priceless objects are right before your eyes. Their temporary exhibitions can also be fascinating and are worth looking out for.

“Mughal India:Art, Culture and Empire”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

This is an absorbing exhibition with the items well laid out. The only difficulty for me was that a number of exhibits were scripts and calligraphy which I could not read.
The exhibition catalogue is good value.

“Fascinating collection.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

I visited here recently during a trip to London and was very impressed with the building and everything in it. For such an important building it is quite tucked away near to Euston Station and you enter the grounds brought a very understated entrance. There is a modern version of William Blake's 'The Ancient of Days' which is very impressive. The staff were very helpful and we spent a lot of time in the room exhibiting Beatle's lyrics, illustrated bibles, the Magna Carta, and books from the world's religions - so, quite an eclectic mix really. I could have spent hours just in this one building but that's the problem with only having three ads in London, there is just so much to see.

Visited for the Mughal Exhibition. Very enjoyable and a large collection to view. Excellent coffee shop and free Wi area. Rest of the rooms free to enter with a huge selection to view.
