Owner description: Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and London residence of Her Majesty The Queen. It is one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today. During a visit to Buckingham Palace, visitors can see the nineteen magnificent State Rooms, which provide the setting for ceremonial occasions and official entertaining. All rooms are furnished with many of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection. A visit also includes entry to the special exhibition, Royal Childhood.

“WONDERFUL tour, well worth it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2014

This tour is pricey, but we had an amazing time seeing inside the Palace. Pay attention to your ticket time (we stupidly confabulated it with something else and almost didn't get to go), show up fifteen minutes early like they ask you to, etc, and then just luxuriate and enjoy. When we were escorted out, we were taken across the front area, under the balcony where the royals often gather to wave at the crowds. The tour guides were knowledgeable, the rooms are breathtaking and fascinating and special, and the Champagne at the end was really pretty good, which is always a surprise at this stuff. DEFINITELY go, especially as right now, it is only open at very limited times. Book in advance. It's open in August and sometimes the end of July, and sometimes in winter, January/February.

The Queen and her family are wonderful. Buckingham Palace is stunning so spending some time here is a must when in London. Everyday day is busy with tourists from all over the world taking a look. Just great!

“Breathtaking place up close!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

So close to Victoria station, can definitely walk, and marvel at this huge beautiful place, missed the changing of the guards though. Didn't realize how massive this place is until I saw it from an aerial view on a postcard.
Next to a nice park on the side and in front, couldn't imagine this was the heart of London England, everything is so clean and well maintained, even the Queen Victoria statue in front of the palace.

“a major tourist attraction....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

almost all tourists visiting london visit the buckingham palace n mostly to see the changing of guards ceremony.its at a specific time n only during summers n thus u need to be in time to watch the change of guards.though people start getting there early in order to get a place closest to the gates so that they can watch the ceremony closely.the guards appear at the specific time from across the street n a bunch of them march towards the palace while the band plays.the area is pretty crowded n so its advisable to get there much before time.the actual ceremony of the change of guard though takes place within the palace grounds.its a long event n takes quite some time.tourists though hang out in the surrounding area much after the ceremony.was fun watching this age old traditional ceremony taking place....

“BUCKINGHAM PALACE TO BE SEEN DAILY AT 11:30, WHEN CHANGING OF THE GARDS !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

My wife and I spent 5 days in London in June 2014. We were lucky enough to see the Queen Elizabeth II when she was going out of Buckingham Palace to the House's of Parliament, but it was big chance.
We went another day, by sunny condition, which is a miracle in London, to see the 11:30 changing of the Gards. It's very interesting to see but expect really a lot of people all around ! This is the most disturbing point, because you expect to see some beautiful show but it is really not easy to find a good location that is not overcrowded...
Well, we anyway enjoyed our experience and took some photos of it. I will soon add them to my review so that you can see what I'm talking about.

So, enjoy and maybe see you one day in London.
