“Tourist Trap”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

I have been coming here for many years and originally it was great. In the main Bangladeshi cuisine, The food is still good but prices have shot up with surly service. Portions are small and have been reduced in recent times. Get the impression that if you don't it go elsewhere attitude. After all there are plenty of tourists who are sold the idea it is the best place in London for Asian food! Me? i will stick to my local haunts where you get excellent value and good food!

“SUNDAY MARKET”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

Fantastic atmosphere with food stalls of varying nationalities. If you want to eat in you can't go wrong here, loads of curry houses. Lots of retro shops and stalls very vibrant, very multi cultural. Picked up some ninja turtles they may be worth a few quid.

“Brick lane on a Sunday - perfect lunch and shopping spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

My main reason to head here was to make the trip to Ambala to stock up on their pick n mix samosas etc - this place has the best paneer and chicken samosas on the planet amongst all sorts of other sweet and savoury goodies. I wasn't even aware the markets were there - these were great fun with plenty of food, craft, clothes stalls etc. Definitely a lot of fun on the weekend!

“Vibrant and Spicy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

Brick Lane is a very vibrant and multicultural tourist destination very famous for its Indian Curry Industry. There are so many Indian curry houses here so if you would like to taste Indian food why not come here. On Sunday Brick Lane is very vibrant with so many people visiting Sunday market. Food hall stalls open on Sunday offering great testing food at a very reasonable price. If you come on the underground you can get off at Algate East, Liverpool Street or Bethnal green and walk from there. Many buses stop near by too. Some Indian restaurants can be a bit dodgy and try to rip you off. So doing a bit of homework is advisable but this isn't as bad. Check out other things around the place including Brick Lane Music Hall and Backyard market too.

“One of the best places to visit in London”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

Go on a Sunday to enjoy the food hall stalls - £5 - £6 - for a large helping of food from a vast choice of food of different origins ( chinese, indian, portugese, mexican, african etc. etc.)If the weather is nice, eat it out in the street sitting on the kerb with the other hundreds all doing the same. Lots of interesting market stalls with all kinds of things to buy. check out the indoor markets if vintage is your thing. Take your camera as you have a great collection of street art in this area.
