Admittedly my Husband booked one of the most expensive rooms for our two day stay, but we felt it was the icing on the cake!
We stayed in the Grand Staircase Suite....which had a mini staircase inside the room! Lovely, spacious bathroom, complete with the St Pancras Rubber Duck (which came back with us) and huge bed on the ground floor, then up the beautiful sweeping stairs to the TV lounge with a sofa so long we could both stretch out end to end.....then if you wished up the staircase again to the mini library, with all sorts of books relating to the English way of life, from Biggles to Brighton and of course London itself......and why not? All extremely relaxing and quiet.
The St Pancras Hotel, has been refurbished to to a very high standard. The Grand Staircase has got to be the centrepiece of the Hotel, the wonderful painted ceilings, and walls, coupled with the magnificent original wrought iron.
The Service in all departments was exceptional, nothing could be faulted. We went to the Theatre on Friday evening and came back late, and sat in the Chambers and enjoyed a late supper, nothing too much trouble.
All in all a very enjoyable weekend, and we felt thoroughly spoilt!.
