“Perfectly adequate for a short stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

My wife & I stayed here for a few days when we moved to London many months ago. We were not sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. While the rooms are the typical, small London spaces, they are well designed for a couple. Everything was nice and new. The location isn't great to catch a train though with London Bridge a 10-min walk away. However, there are plenty of places to eat nearby, some grocery stores and bus route C10 will take you directly to Victoria. The front desk staff was very helpful consistently which made a big difference as we were in the midst of a relocation.

It was a nice place for the price. Had a nice kitchenette if you needed one. Washer and dryer. A few issues in the room but it was taken care right away by the staff. Lots of restaurants around the area prices ranging from high to low.

Good value. Surprised with the well-fully equipped kitchen, all new: stoves, oven with microwave function, big fridge, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, pots and pans, cutlery, soap, dishcloths, etc. Only missing good knives. Ridiculously unable to cut crusty bread, great effort for an apple. Iron and more related home stuff I did not have the chance to use but looked great.

Comfy bed and lovely coach. Table, two chairs and a TV. The room during the night was little bit warm, I could not find the way to change the temperature, although it was not a big think.

Friendly and helpful staff. They printed for me the boarding pass and keep the luggage the departure day without any charge.

The Hotel is placed in a quiet and peaceful area, around 10 minutes walking from London Bridge Underground station. Walking through Bermondsey Street you find few nice art-galleries, shops and restaurants.

Light in the bathroom will switch-off automatically after two or three minutes!! I was looking for an interrupter for a while you see.

I would come back and recommend it.

Everything was lovely, clean, quiet, easy access to tube station. Nice bars and places to eat on the same street and a tesco just a 5 minute walk away! Friendly staff. Really Lovely rooms, I am planning to stay again when I next visit London!

It was our 3rd stay here and we selected this place based on 2 previous positive experiences.
The studio was bigger, you would say it was a 1-bedroom size but with no doors. The layout is a bit confusing, the wardrobe is tiny, the table with 2 chairs not really welcoming. But we liked the shower and lovely The White Company toiletries. However, when it came to finding a bathroom light switch, there wasn't one. Turned out it is motion activated, but be aware.... it took at least 20mins for it to switch off!!! What a joke!
In fact the lighting system in the entire flat is complicated and we spent good 15mins trying to switch all lights off. Not fun at 2am and after a few cocktails!!
Other than that, we like the location and it's possibly the most quiet place you can find in central London. We will definitely return and will most probably be asking for an apartment with a good old manual switch ;)

We are a married couple who visited London for a long weekend and found this ideal for a relaxed stay. Clean comfortable for two and with good modern kitchen and dining facility in studio. Quiet street handy for pubs restaurants or Sainsbury express nearby. 10 minute walk to London Bridge tube and rail. Italian Spanish Mediterranean trendy or traditional cafés within 100 yards. Carry out shops 200 yards. Tower bridge 5 mins walk. Great location to explore south bank. Asked for photo ID when checking in so take something suitable.

Room Tip: Room facing rear will be the quietest

3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2014

We stayed here for a weekend trip to London. I booked the trip on priceline, where it tells you the "star level" of the hotel, and this was listed as a four star hotel, comparable to a Hyatt or Intercontinental, and I think that this was an inaccurate statement. It is self catering apartments. The rooms were clean and had a stove, fridge and freezer. The soundproofing isn't very good so we could hear the elevator every time it went up or down and any time someone was walking down the hallway. You have to go down an alley way off the main drag to get to the hotel entrance which was a little strange at night, but it looked fine during the day. The price was right, and the location was good-you could walk to the tower bridge without a problem.
