“Business stay - Nice and helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

Well, as you walk upto the hotel you may be thinking....mmmm this doesn't look good. The location you may think seems a bit seedy. Walk through the door and the staff quickly change your views. Vey helpful and polite. Although I got in late, they quickly offered a hot snack and the bar was still open.
Rooms are clean and presentable.
Location for Waterloo station is 5 min walk so good to get into city centre for business or pleasure. Not cheap if last minute booking but if you book in plenty of time a good price for London.

Since we were only staying in London for 2 days we wanted to stay as close to Westminster as our budget would allow and this fit the bill. Check in and out was efficient and friendly. Our room and bathroom was clean upon check in. We were especially glad that the king sized bed we had booked was ready and waiting for us.

The hotel location was fantastic. Close enough to Waterloo Station that you could grab the Tube but also close enough to some of the major attractions that we easily walked to Westminster and Tower Bridge. We did not eat or drink in the hotel but the bar and breakfast room seemed busy and well kept during our short stay over the weekend.

We easily borrowed a hair dryer and iron with iron from the front desk one evening so we could get ready for dinner. However, be aware that it may be difficult to find a hot meal close by on a Sunday night. Luckily, we were able to find a kebab shop off the Cut but most restaurants were closed or stopped serving before 5pm. All in all it was a great budget find for us during our winter stay.

Stayed at this travel lodge in London Waterloo. I regularly stay in London for work at a premier inn in the north of the city, however due to logistics my partner was coming down for the day so we payed a little over £100 which wasn't too bad and wasn't expecting much. We checked in ok and went to the room went to turn on the tv and one of the batteries were missing out if the remote as was the cover (so staff would of known this when cleaning that day) went for a shower and the shower head was so badly damaged the shower was terrible. As we were a little late getting to the room we decided to ask if we would bring food from the restaurant to the room, we tried to contact reception but there was no phone in the room neither a number we could call. I then googled the hotel pacifically phoned the number supplier and it was a central booking line. Anyway went down to reception asked if we could and it was ok this process took about 20 mins as there was one girl covering both reception and bar and she "didn't really know" I was told to order and I had to come back down to pick it up in 20mins ok that's fine didn't expect room service. Came down 20mins later and our dinner was left in the bar uncovered and surrounded by people at the bar (no staff to be seen just left there while loads of people was drinking at the bar) needless to say by the time I got back to the room it was stone cold. Overall really poor stay would not recommend I didn't set high expeditions and certainly didn't get a acceptable service

On arrival at the hotel we requested an extension lead as my partner has sleep apnoea and uses a machine to breath, despite being promised one by two members of staff they finally admitted that the only one in the hotel had been stolen by a previous guest, We had to move the bed along the wall to reach a plug socket.
There were no mirrors anywhere near a plug socket so drying my hair was a challenge.
On arriving back at the hotel mid afternoon the room hadn't been cleaned, I spoke to the housekeeper and said that provided we had clean towels and coffee and tea sachets we would be happy to leave the room, but an hour later the housekeeping had gone home and forgotten even though they had written the information down when we first spoke about this.

Stayed here with work on a thursday in december. Myself and a colleague went at 13.50pm to drop our bags off only to be told there was no such facility. We asked if it would be possible to check in, only to be told that check in is not until 14.30pm but we could check in early... for £10 per room! Had no option but to pay the £10 to check in 40 mins early as we didn't want to carry bags around! The receptionist was sour faced and pretty uninterested. It is clean and in a decent location. Breakfast was ok.

Great value at £100 or thereabouts for excellent room (on 8th floor), quiet and with reasonable outlook (inc. London Eye). Staff very friendly and ready to help. Breakfast really good for less than £8, breakfast room tables well set out and pleasant atmosphere. Drinks at the bar surprisingly inexpensive. Another winner for Travelodge. Locations near Waterloo makes travel around the city by public transport very easy.
