Booked a table in the restaurant for 12 o'clock for 3 people at lunchtime. Greeting was Luke warm, but swift. Coffee was served minus sugar etc, didn't ask for any, but shouldn't have to. Food was good. We had rarebit and fish cake for starter, and one fish pie and haddock and chips for main. Food was cooked fresh, was piping hot, and flavoursome. We had to get our wine from the cooler before we left to finish it off, as was not served it regularly throughout the meal. It was very cold when we got there and the heating wasn't on, when I mentioned how cold it was, it fell on deaf ears, so, I just turned the valve on the rad, and it came on, lovely and warm, Imdid turn it off again before we left by the way. Good atmosphere and not a free table in the house by the time we left, so clearly popular with the locals... Would recommend, nice place for the area, good food, but service and temperature of the room need attention. Also, tip added automatically at 10%, which I don't agree with, this should be up to the customers discretion.
