Description: Renowned throughout London and beyond, Petrus is one of the biggest names on the restaurant scene. With the world-renowned Gordon Ramsay behind the scheme to raise Petrus - now located on Knightsbridge's Kinnerton Street - from the ashes, the restaurant exudes the famous Ramsay sense of luxury combined with down-to-earth charm. Decorated in subtle tones of champagne, oyster and copper along with the claret red which inspired the restaurant's name, Petrus's beguiling interior is superbly decadent and romantic and actually quite intimate. In the kitchen, Head Chef Sean Burbidge is creating its trademark modern French menu. At Petrus the highest-quality ingredients go into dishes that combine delicious familiar flavours with unique presentation. Expect waves of divine amuse-bouches and a stupendous wine list, including a long list of vintages of Petrus to make it all perfect.

“Gorgeous little place:))”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013 via mobile

We visited petrus for a set lunch yesterday and had the most pleasant experience. Great ambience considering it was only lunchtime. The food was very tasty, lots of varied choice and very extensive wine list. Would recommend 100%

“Fantastic value set lunch, great service, great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

We had the set three course lunch for £30 and couldn't fault it. The cooking and the presentation was superb, quite classicaly French which we loved. The dining room was a tranquil setting, with the specially comissioned glass wine storeage unit forming the centre piece from floor to ceiling. Very classical, yet also modern.

We found the service to be friendly and attentive, not at all cold and austere as you can sometimes find in formal fine dining restaurants. The staff were happy to chat, but did not intrude on our meal, and we thoroughly enjoyed being shown the kitchens and being able to talk to several of the chefs and watch them work. Highlights of the meal; steak tartar with crisp sweetbreads, shaved truffle, wild mushroom cannelloni with frogs legs, chocolate sphere for dessert. The petits fours with dessert were also great; vanilla & Armagnac ice-cream, coated in white chocolate, liquid nitrogen for dramatic smoke effect!

We will definitely be back, perhaps to try the shefs table in the kitchen, looks like fun.

“Gourmet experience in London”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

We had a memorable dining experience in Petrus on a recent visit to London. Faultless food perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend the Scallop starter , Venison main and Chocolate sphere dessert. A couple of very tasty complimentary amuse bouches were served to tease our palates even more.We had a very pleasing Chilean red wine.

“Lovely place to be”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

We went for lunch for my wife's birthday. What an absolute gem. Gordon Ramsay do you know you have wonderful welcoming and caring staff? Everything was top notch. But no need for silly bowing and scraping. Watchful waiters and waitresses who were most helpful without being ' in your face' all the time. Really a wonderful place to while away an afternoon in lovely company with the most delicious food. This is the best restaurant I have ever been to. Don't hesitate about booking - you have no worries - just enjoy. And thank you to the lovely staff who were delightful to be with.
