Description: Renowned throughout London and beyond, Petrus is one of the biggest names on the restaurant scene. With the world-renowned Gordon Ramsay behind the scheme to raise Petrus - now located on Knightsbridge's Kinnerton Street - from the ashes, the restaurant exudes the famous Ramsay sense of luxury combined with down-to-earth charm. Decorated in subtle tones of champagne, oyster and copper along with the claret red which inspired the restaurant's name, Petrus's beguiling interior is superbly decadent and romantic and actually quite intimate. In the kitchen, Head Chef Sean Burbidge is creating its trademark modern French menu. At Petrus the highest-quality ingredients go into dishes that combine delicious familiar flavours with unique presentation. Expect waves of divine amuse-bouches and a stupendous wine list, including a long list of vintages of Petrus to make it all perfect.

“Spellbounding. Outstanding. Out of this world experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

I went to Petrus with my work colleagues, we had the Chefs table and took the option to have wine pairing at an extra cost of £60 per head - and worth every penny.

We had champagne and canapes to start upstars in the Restaurant lounge, admiring the amazing glass wine rack that seems to hold the ceiling up. The waiting staff were the most attentive and friendly people we could have met and nothing was too much for them.

When we were ready, we headed downstairs into the Kitchen and were greeted by the Head Chef, who infroduced all of his team and gave us a tour of the kitchen - was full of weird and wonderful produce and spotlessly clean and like a military operation, all of the staff were friendly and immaculately dressed.

The food was divine, many dishes were things we had never tried before so was a real experience.

We even got to have a go at making a chocolate bomb dessert in the kitchen which was not only fun, but gave us an idea of what the kitchen staff do every day and with care and attention to detail to the slightest little millicentimetre.

You absolutely have to try this out, even if you only try it once in your lifetime - Do it, you really wont regret it.

“Fantastic lunch Value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

Called in on the off chance for lunch dressed rather casually, full credit to staff as they didn't look fazed by this at all. Service was formal but done in a friendly manner and all happy to chat. food was fantastic the belly pork not only brilliant but enormous as well difficult to criticise any course at all. Wines are what to be expected at this level but found a very pleasant Oregon Pinot Noir by the glass but by the time we had finished might as well have bought the bottle. My wife did see some macaroons appear and even though we had not ordered any the staff were quite happy to give us some when mentioned that the other half loves macaroons. Have eaten here lunch and dinner before but lunch at this level is in my opinion great value.

“Amazing experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

My partner and I visited Petrus on Saturday for dinner and both agreed that it was the best food and dining experience we have had.

The service was beyond my expectations with friendly, polite and attentive waiting staff at all stages of the meal. Unfortunately, I would stuggle to express how good the food was; my vocabulary wouldn't do it justice.

Yes, it was also the most expensive meal I have ever had, but this is craftsmanship of the highest order and it warrants your spend.

For a special occasion, I cannot think of anywhere I would rather go.

“Fabulous restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013 via mobile

We booked a table to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. We opted for the Chef's menu @ £75. The food was fabulous and the waiting staff took time to explain each dish. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed feel. At the end of the meal a birthday message and cake was served which was a lovely surprise to end a great meal.
