“Great stay at an excellent location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

This is a great hotel at an excellent location. Waking up with the Big Ben and the Westminster Parliament is a joy for your eyes. 300 metres away from the London Eye and within five minutes walk of Waterloo station or Westminster Subway station.

The staff provided great service and double checked if items had been delivered to you when requested. The pool was our main reason to visit this place and our kids loved it, only small point here was the early closure of it for kids at 20.00. Especially when we arrived friday night they could not swim anymore, but they made up for it by using every day of our stay.

Breakfast was good, even tough it was very busy the days before X-mas. Families with kids were seated in one of the ballroom halls at the third floor but this was no problem for us. The kids had space to play and the quality of the food was good. The cooks making breakfast on the spot did a good job and the staff was always looking if people had questions.

The rooms were fine and what you can expect of this kind of hotel. We will definately coming back here when back in London.

Room Tip: go for a room with a view of the Big Ben, it is worth the extra 50 pound

The Cathedral Choir from St. John's Cathedral in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was in residence at the beginning of August, 2014, for a week. Our hotel was the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge. One can't quibble with the location, which was excellent: just far enough away from the Bridge, but within easy walking distance of the Abbey and Parliament. It is also surrounded by good eating establishments, meaning that if one wants to stay close to home, it isn't a long tube ride or taxi to a decent restaurant. The staff were universally helpful and friendly. The breakfast each morning was excellent! How could you not enjoy a hot breakfast buffet that included blood sausage and haggis? Seriously, it was great! Room service was prompt and efficient, and the fare was hot when it arrived. I was disappointed that an hotel such as the Park Plaza would charge for internet access. We had stayed earlier at a good hotel in Winchester, where the service was gratis. I would hope that the management would make this part of the package for one's stay. Also, the lighting in the room was inadequate for anything but watching the television. Reading or work had to be done with supplemental LEDs run from our computers. So, overall a very good and comfortable place, but a couple of things to be improved.

This was my first stay at any Park Plaza and I was quite impressed with the value for money this hotel offers. Location-wise it is 5 mins walk from Waterloo tube which can get you almost anywhere in London, and a 15 min bus ride to Oxford Circus for shopping. I was there on a business trip so the proximity to Big Ben etc didn't really matter.
What did matter were the following:
- Staff extremely polite and helpful
- Very good restaurants and facilities (incl. pool and gym)
- Modern, spacious and clean rooms (I was upgraded to a studio room, so can only comment on these)
- It is a 'happening' hotel, which means there are events and its bars and restaurants are busy most of the time, something which I personally like when on a business trip.
- Location

The only downside to this hotel is that there are a limited number of entertainment/dining/shopping spots at walking distance from the hotel nearby. You need to take the bus for more options. So if you're a business traveller like me, it seems that your only breakfast option is the hotel's (and it ain't cheap).

My wife and I already had fairly high expectations of the hotel before arriving but those expectations were exceeded after arrival . Mario at check in was fantastic. Aaron, the porter I believe , was 5 star. We used the spa facilities and pool and sauna. The lounge was great for drinks before and after dinner. Love the memory foam mattress. We are already planning our return trip !

5 mins from Waterloo station and 2 mins from London Eye/Big Ben this stylish hotel scores top markets for service and cleanliness.
Only one word of caution standard rooms include rooms that have no natural daylight which if staying there again we would try to avoid.

what can I say, this hotel was amazing, you come out of Westminster tube station and are greeted with Big Ben right in front of you, you walk over Westminster bridge and there in front of you is the park plaza, it looks amazing from the outside, it is amazing in the inside, the lobby is large, spacious and welcoming, the reception guy was not only informative but such a nice bloke, 8th floor room, again speechless, rooms are beautiful, bathroom beautiful, we came back from city centre on the Friday nite, went to the primo bar, nothing too much trouble, entertainment was good also, never ate in the hotel but everything looked great, I will definitely stay here again 100%, loved it, loved it, loved it......
