The gallery is in an interesting building which forms part of Somerset House. The permanent exhibits include medeival, renaissance and impressionist works with notes as well as title, artist and date alongise each one. The information realting to both the works and the artists added a lot of value. The rooms are also filled with other intersting artefacts including furniture and ceramics (lots of Majoilica). When we visited there was a temporary exhibition covering the early work of Picasso (which ends in late May). I was surpised how much of Picasso's early work I liked. The gallery is spread across three floors. It was 2 hours worth and well worth a visit.
