“Comfortable Hotel in the Heart of Soho”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014

I stayed there for a 4 night stint lastfall. The hotel is very cozy and the service was extremely good. They know your name on check in and were very accomodating. Our room was relatively large and the bathroom shower was an interesting walk-in style. I think the best part about the hotel are 1) Soho location, 2) service, 3) the restaurant next door to the lobby has good food and a good bar. They also have complimentary coffee in the lobby in the morning which I've found to be rare in London. The downside is that it's a boutique-style hotel with no gym and it's a bit far from the park so not great for joggers.

we spent may bank holiday at the hotel friday-monday. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a lovely size and bed so comfortable, theres a really nice roll top bath that was so relaxing, theres literally everything from shampoo to spa products to straighteners/hairdryer. The hotel is in the centre of soho so a brilliant location. We had breakfast but i wouldn't bother again the breakfast let the hotel down... take a 2 minute walk to Balans much better

Would certainly stay there again and recommend to friends and family

Room Tip: if your a light sleeper use the earphones they give you. Im a heavy sleeper but boyfriend isn't...

stayed at this hotel 3 times, its truly in the middle of soho on dean street you have so many restaurants and cool bars in the area. the hotel itsefl is smal but very comfy and homely i think all the rooms are different which gives it that boutique styke which i very much like. the room serivce was good didnt really spend much time in the hotel but wheni was there i was alwyas satisfied!

stayed at the hotel for 4 nights during the may bank holiday. Hotel is in a superb location within Soho. The staff throughout were first class in every way. A nice relaxed atmosphere but nothing was too much trouble. The rooms themselves were small (we had the tiny option) but really well kitted out. Very good value for just over£200 per night. Would try and stay there if being in soho is important.

Stayed one night as we were visiting London for the theatre
Booked a tiny room and it was! However it was beautifully appointed - lots of lovely Cow Shed smellies, magazines , Roberts radio ,hair dryer and straighteners. Good selection of snacks and free homemade biscuits
The bed was big and comfy and beautiful robes to use
Great location
Will definitely return but will book a bigger room next time

Room Tip: Splash out and go for a bigger room rather than a tiny

We had a lovely one night stay at this hotel and we will definitely go back for another visit. What we liked:
- excellent Soho location, only a short walk to several excellent restaurants, theatres, shops
- lovely room which was decorated in a relaxing style
- excellent shower and bathroom with great Cowshed products to use and small samples to take away. Also good that you can leave a light on in the bathroom at night without a fan noise
- everything you need in the room including powerful hairdryer and free toiletries
- very comfortable bed and pillows, only a small amount of road noise which was very good considering its location
- friendly and helpful staff throughout
- good room service although a few items were not available
- very nice restaurant for meals next door - we enjoyed the breakfast and afternoon tea
- excellent breakfast choice and very good that it was included in our room rate
- very good room rate as we stayed on a less popular night. We would come back at the rate we paid so we will watch out for good value rates
- we enjoyed using the nearby Cowshed spa which is part of the group

Overall highly recommended and we will use this hotel again.

It was a great pity that my stay at the wonderful Dean Street Townhouse concluded with an unseemly fracas about the bill, the receptionist insisting that the booking agent hadn't taken payment (they had), that I still needed to pay for the room (I didn't), that she had tried to take payment (she hadn't), that my card had been declined (it hadn't), etc. In every other respect the hotel was fantastic.

My "broom cupboard" bedroom was small but perfectly formed and full of character. The bed was big and very, very comfortable, and the room was remarkably quiet given the central Soho location; I slept like a log! The little touches like fresh milk in the mini-bar and the extensive offering of complementary Cow Shed toiletries made all the difference. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel's location was extremely convenient. I thought the hotel offered good value for money. With the exception of the unfortunate (and, I'm sure, exceptional) fiasco described above, the service was excellent.

Certainly, I will go back and I would not hesitate to recommend the Dean Street Townhouse.
