This was my second time staying at the Rafayel, and the first time I was completely blown away! The decor and views are ike something out of a movie not to mention so close to all the main attractions of London. I stayed in one of their apartments with a couple of friends and we all agreed the amazing bedrooms, bathrooms, views were absolutely breathtaking. Not to mention the amazing cocktails the bar served! The hotel also offered a free shuttle service to train stations which was really handy. 100% my best birthday and we will all definitely be returning for more events and general relaxing stays. Would definitely recommend! :)

A 4star not 5 star hotel. Room clean bathroom big. No shower gel. Shampoo was the same as the hand wash. Noisy neighbours brawling outside. Staff helpful. But of a shlep to get to tube or train station. This hotel is just OK.

I have stayed at the Rafayel dozens of times. Its wonderful and i love it. It is situated right beside the river on Lombard Road Battersea. Its a little out of the way but read on. The rooms are spacious and very very clean with large comfortable beds, fresh white linen and gigantic marshmallow pillows. They are all air conditioned with docking stations for your tunes. The enormous bathrooms are scrupulously clean and have black granite surfaces, tiled floors, large mirrors and power showers but read the instructions before turning on! The lighting controls take a little getting used to but is hardly a major concern. I usually pay around £120 for a standard room and compared to other London hotels this represents fantastic value. The suites overlooking the river are absolutely spectacular especially if you are planning a special break so don't hesitate to pay extra. Trust me. They are amazing.
The staff at reception are most helpful especially Kuman, and Ben and also Ian who drives the shuttle service to Clapham Junction and Clapham Common Tube (the Tube station especially should be avoided during morning rush hour). The 170 bus stops outside 20mins to Victoria and 10mins to Clapham Junction. A taxi to the square mile is £25 and takes about 30 mins.
The restaurant is beside the river and the views are just lovely. Its expensive but if you order 2 courses there is a 50% reduction so expect to pay £25 per head (if taking advantage) and the same for a decent bottle of wine. I would certainly recommend the fish curry.
Sit outside in summer. Its fun watching the helicopters land although judging by some of the previous reviews the noise may be an issue for some. They don't go in and out every five minutes, (occasionally) although Royal Ascot is an exception. I'm easily amused, Hold onto your hat dear!!!
The owner Mr. Latif is usually around and keeping a watchful eye. he is a lovely gentleman and always welcomes me with a warm handshake and a genuine enquiry about the wellbeing of my family.
His wife is up early every morning working quietly to ensure the housekeeping is properly attended to.
i don't write reviews. i read them. Trust me. You won't find better in London at this price, you really won't. I promise.

Room Tip: Pay up. Take a river view suite. You really must!! Nice Lebanese restaurant at Battersea Square 4 h...

For anyone reading the negative reviews on this hotel, please don't.

I stay in hotels around the UK on a regular basis so I know a good room from a bad one - I was blown away by this! I came with friends for a quick get away, although I stay in London regularly I am loyal to a hotel in Holbrun but will 100% use this as my London HUB from now on. I can truly say this is the only hotel that I have stayed in that has a homely feel to it, the walls aren't bare and it doesn't feel like they have put box rooms into a building to maximise their profits... I haven't even mentioned the value for money - given that it was little over a hundred quid it felt like I was staying in a 3-400 pound a night hotel.

Our jaws literally dropped when we saw the room - it is actual luxury, there was so much space, speakers in the ceiling that could connect to the aux, speakers in the bathroom as well as cool TVs, huge bath tub and a shower unit you could tell was expensive. There was so much room there was almost a small office in the corner! The room also had a coffee table and sofa, big wardrobes, full length windows - not to mention the place was spotless. My description does not do it justice... but trust me, living out of a suitcase is never enjoyable but I could get use to it staying there!

Although the hotel isn't in central london it is on the river which makes up for it and the hotel runs a shuttle bus to and from all the local transport links so you are in central london in half an hour with no stress and more than half the price of staying in the centre. It was almost nice to get out to the hotel after our day out just to relax.

Also thanks to all the staff... they were helpful, happy everything most hotel staff aren't!

The hotel exudes quality and although not located in the very centre of London, is very well connected. There is a free shuttle service to he nearby Railway and tube station which is very handy. Room service is excellent.

I stayed here for one night with my partner in the Yangtze room. The room itself was elegant very comfortable and immaculately clean. It's very well equipped with everything you could need. This included a well stocked minibar, Free wifi, ambi light TV, surround sound music system with iPod docking station, you can even listen to music in the shower. The bathroom was lovely and spacious with the addition of bath robes, slippers and Neil's yard toiletries. The room looks over the back entrance of the hotel and although the windows face the opposite building there is also a partial view of the river which is nice and it was quiet and peaceful. The service was excellent. Staff are friendly polite and helpful. We ordered room service and the food was delicious.
Great price for this standard of room and service. I would definitely recommend a stay here and look forward to returning again very soon.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the back towards the river are quitter.

Arrived 7th April 2 hours before book in time by our room was ready which was great. The Thames room was amazinging, very impressed and pleased just stunning views over the river. Offered a shuttle service to the local station, which we took. Spent the day in the city and collected again by the shuttle. We had dinner booked for 8 in the restaurant but unfortunately whilst getting ready we had no hot water. They where straight up to deal with it but couldn't get it to work so with no fuss or delay they upgraded us to an apartment on the 15th floor with the same view that we had. We where blown away with the service the staff couldn't do enough for us. The apartment was beyond our expectations to the point we want to book it again and take our children. Our meal was 1st class and again the staff where very professional and friendly. Had a fab nights sleep very comfy bed, very quiet..breakfast In our room overlooking the Thames in glorious sunshine, can't get any better than that. The check in and check out staff where very professional and friendly and due to the room issues offered a discount on our next stay!!!!!!!!!Under ground secure parking at £15 a day was an added bonus.......all in all we had a outstanding stay and will be back no doubt about it :) :)

Room Tip: Ask for a room with the Thames view.... Stunning and great fun watching the helicopters landing on t...
