A typical bus tour with a large tour company that sees you more as a bum on a seat than as a client.
We arrived on time at the coach station where we waited for about 25 minutes standing in line. When we were told to get on the bus, we were sent to a full bus to take the back seats. This normally wouldn't have been too bad if the middle seat had been left empty (there are 5 small seats at the back of the buss), but they found a very large woman to fill that middle seat. For the first 3 hours of the trip she sat half on her seat and half on my left leg (Im not kidding, my leg went numb...). We got off the buss in Bath and I asked the tour leader to find us another bus. We were lucky that the tour had another bus with 2 spare seats, we promptly accepted. (Note: I was ready to leave and catch the train home)
Very tight schedule, not long at each location (good if you only have a few days in London).
If you want a nice day out, i would recommend hiring a car and driving yourself, the tour guides didn't do anything at the locations anyway, we used headphones to listen to a recording at all locations. If you want a real tour, go with a smaller company on a smaller bus.
Also note there is no lunch break, you must buy something to eat on the bus or use your time at one of the locations to eat.
