“Top Place in Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012

Who would ever, ever, ever, want to stay in Bethnal Green!!?? Well me for one now that I have discovered the Town Hall Hotel, wall to wall welcoming quality. I travel to London once a week or so and stay over perhaps once a fortnight for a night or so and have become something of an unfaithful wife to the hotels I stay in, being tempted by cost savings on Trivago, Laterooms etc, well I may now give up my itinerant ways and settle down happily ever after with the Town Hall. Crucially, this is the highest quality accommodation you will find at a reasonable cost one yes ONE tube stop from Liverpool Street and The City, Bethnal Green is surprisingly easy to get to. The Hotel is a two or three minute walk from the Tube and the Hotel is tucked away on a quiet road just off the main drag. I arrived at busy-o-clock and unlike many places the Town Hall had overstaffed the front desk so check in was to say the least smooth and fast. I was allocated room 102, a big bright airy space with a raised bed, a sunken bath, a soft robe, egyptian cotton, fluffy slippers, Rituals toiletries and a Nespresso (type) coffee maker. Candidly, everything I wanted was there with stylish flair. Usually I am pleased not to have brought my wife Diane with me but on this occasion I was sorry I hadn't, this place manages to blend business class efficiency withy honeymoon style and comforts. Breakfast was great and the michelin starred restaurant occupying the corner of the property is a delightful spot for a post-work unwind. Whether you are looking for an overnight business sleepover or a romantic base to explore the delights of London, PlEASE think of trying Bethnal Green and in particular the Town Hall Hotel, I very much doubt you will make a better decision this year.

Room Tip: I had 102, big, light, airy and quiet

Dear Guest,
Thank you for sharing your feedback on TripAdvisor on your recent stay at Town Hall Hotel & Apartments. I really enjoyed reading your comments and it is nice that we were able to create memorable stays each and every time you visited us. I cannot express my excitement in hearing that you are now thinking of THH, as your home away from home and it is nice to see that my colleagues were able successfully provide that kind of service, which made it possible to win you heart over. It is indeed the philosophy of service we are developing at THH and I am very pleased to know that all our efforts have paid off and have been well appreciated by you. Thank you also for your detailed feedback, which I am sure many other guests will find very useful to make a more appropriate choice of hotel. Perhaps on your next visit, as you suggested, would be nice to see you coming back with you partner to show what the THH is all about. I can confirm that your comments will be shared with the team here and thank you so much for your kind score and comments and for choosing the Town Hall Hotel for your stays in London. I hope to be able to welcome you back soon and in the meantime should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me directly, I will be more than happy to assist with any enquiry you may have. Many thanks and kind regards, Sandro Desole

“Really great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

Stayed here on business for 3 nights in October and had one of the best i've had in London. When I booked the room I didn't realise i'd booked a studio apartment, well equiped with full kitchen, plenty of comfy seating, ipod docking station, loads of cupboard space and a shower to die for. The kitchen area is tucked away behind sliding doors and this also separates the bed from the rest of the room, so although it's a studio it's more like an open plan one bedroom flat (the bed has it's own TV on the wall as well. Felt like a home from home

Leisure facilities are quite small but very nicely laid out and the small gym is well equiped. Pleasant staff and only 5 mins walk from Bethnal Green Tube station. Free well functioning WIFI and each night staff drop by to turn down the bed and leave you a little food surprise.

Loved it and will be back.

“Very nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

We stayed four nights (wed to sun) in this lovely hotel in Bethnal Green and really enjoyed our stay. The building is beautiful. Our room was large and with all the touches you wud expect, bathrobes, coffee machine etc. We did not have many dealings with the staff but all those we did ( apart from one breakfast waitress) were nice and polite. The pool was lovely. The inclusive brekfast was very good and the additional cooked dishes were v reasonable at 4£ each. It's a shame there is no guest lounge. On the down side, there is no full length wardrobe in the room or mirror at the desk to use wen drying hair. The room was so large there would have been lots of space for a coat stand. The main annoyance though was the location of our room G24 (if you find yourself being given this one I would ask for a different one). There were two reasons for this- one it is below the Corner Room restaurant kitchen and you can hear the staff late at night and early morning and the smell of food comes down into the room(not nice for anyone but quite unpleasant for a pregnant person!) also the second is that the function room upstairs was in use Fri and Sat night and the noise of the music was very loud. I think that this also would affect some of the rooms on the first floor. The good news is it's stops at dead on 12 - so had I not been pregnant and needing relatively early nights it wouldn't have been a problem. As far as the location is concerned some other reviewers have found this to be an issue; we are quite familiar with the area and it's fine. You are only a 15 walk from Lauriston village which has nice bars and restaurants and about a 20 min walk from Hoxton, Shoredith which also has same, as does parts of Hackney. You can eat and shop for far less than the touristy centre. Victoria Park, the canal and Lea Valley are all within walking distance for enjoying the outdoors. Bethnal Green tube is only a 5min walk. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for sharing your feedback on TripAdvisor on your recent stay at Town Hall Hotel & Apartments. It is nice to know that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you found our apartment spacious and comfortable. It is also nice to know that you like the swimming pool and the breakfast selection with the hot option on the menu and that you thought that the staff was very helpful and approachable. Although your feedback score is quite positive I could not help to notice that there have been few underperforming areas, which slightly marred your experience with during your stay. I am sorry to hear that the noisy from the wedding celebration as well as the one from the staff in the Corner Room prevented you from fully enjoy your stay in this occasion. Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused in this occasion and I can assure you that this is far from what we wish to offer our guest with. I hope this isolated incidents will not deter you from visiting us again in the future and as a gesture of goodwill, I am happy to offer you a complimentary upgrade on your next visit to the THH. Thank you for choosing the THH for your stay in London and should you require any further assistance from us please do not hesitate to contact me directly. Many thanks and kind regards. Sandro Desole

Had a lovely stay at the hip Town Hall Hotel. Fascinating neighborhood with easy access to downtown London. The apartment was large, well furnished, clean and very affordable. Definitely worth a stay.
