I've been eating at Ealing Balti for a few years now and had to share my experience with potential diners. We always get a warm welcome when we arrive and now they sort of know us, they always take us to our favourite table when we like to sit. The menu is varied and is extremely reasonably priced and the best thing about the food is that the chef is happy to make the food with alterations as you request - for example, my husband likes his biryani to have more ginger and garlic and for it to be spicier and they're always happy to alter the food to his taste.
The music is not overly loud so as to intrude on your dinner conversation but loud enough to make you feel you're in an Indian restaurant. They are happy to provide jugs of chilled water on request and the staff are never moody or evasive (like some restaurants that have staff that avoid eye contact with customers till you feel you have to wave at them furiously to get their attention). Sadly the restaurant is never busy when we've been, mostly on week days mind you, so possibly it's busier at the weekend but we really hope this little gem of a restaurant will not be adversely affected by the recession and that it doesn't close down as this would be a real loss to the local area.
Ealing Balti is only open in the evenings and delivers to local addresses as well as taking orders for takeaway/takeout.
