We enjoyed everything about this hotel but specialy the kidness of the staff. We got an upgrade for celabrating our anniversary and the room was comfartable and romantic! The breakfast was very rich and in a good atmosfire. The location is a bit for from the center but there are good tube options.

We staryed at this hotel last weekend as we had lots of things to do in London and thought an overnight stay somewhere would be beneficial. We booked this as it was on a deal through lastminute.com and were glad we did.

It is ideally situated a short walfk from Liverpool Street Station and as it's in the City it was quiet at the weekend which meant a decent nights sleep was easily obtained. The reception desk staff are very friendly and helpful - we could leave our bags at the hotel after we checked out as we were going round some places as part of Open London and didn't want to drag a case along with us.

Only (slight) downside was at breakfast - we had to ask for our tea and coffee a couple of times as it keprt on being forgotten as was the toast we ordered. But those are just a couple of minor niggles.

We would definitely stay here again (especially as there is a great cocktail bar just round the corner near the Guldhall!!).

We are a mature couple who wished to rediscover London for a week, and also celebrate a special anniversary. The prices of the hotels near Knightsbridge, where we last stayed, were too expensive, so we viewed Trip Advisor and settled on the Apex. The price was right and it was also located in an area we wished to explore more thoroughly, namely the City of London, which includes all the fantastic new architectural creations that are a joy to behold: the "Gherkin", the "Walkie-Talkie", (which has melted cars !), the Lloyd's Bank building, City Hall and numerous others. It is also located around the corner from the Museum of London, and within easy walkig distance of the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the Borough Market, the Globe Theatre, to name a few. When we booked, we informed the hotel that we would be celebrating a special anniversary.

The Apex London Wall is one of two Apex hotels in London, the other situated across from the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand. These are boutique hotels. The Apex London Wall has, I recall, 87 rooms, and is only four years old. Upon our arrival we were greeted warmly by the staff. As our room was not quite readty we were offered a free drink in the upscale bar, open to the front lobby. We were then asked which night we would like to enjoy a free two-course dinner with wine to celebrate our anniversary. Being tired from our travel, we decided to have dinner that night. Upon entering our room, we were delighted to discover that it had a balcony. The dressing gowns and slippers were presented in style, and of superior quality. A Happy Anniversary card, with a personal messace from the Manager made us feel special.

Our room was a superior king located on the 6th floor. It had sufficient room for storing our one week's necessities and belongings. A bit tight but larger than most European hotel rooms. There is a fridge with wine and beer, for which you must pay, as well as for the cashews, but everything else is free, including the Pringles chips, jellybeans, good coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cookies and bottled water, both still and fizzy. The bathroom is large, with a big Duravit bathtub for two, and an oversized glassed-wall shower. The faucets and showehead are made by HansGrohe, excellent quality. The amenities are Elemis, excellent quality again, and include specialized balms for lips, temples and eyes. The towels are thick, large and luxurious, resting on heated racks. The TV was a 42 inch Sharp HD, with a good choice of channels. There is a Blu-Ray DVD player in the room, with an assortment of titles available for the asking. The Bose sound system is excellent.

The staff at the Apex are truly willing to please. They are mostly young, many from Germany and Spain. No question was too trite for these young people, and each took special pains to insure our happiness. They aimed to please, and did so.

There have been many comments that because the hotel is located in the City, it is dead on weekends. To some extent this is true, but one need not go very far to find excitement, as previously noted. There are pubs located right around the corner from the Apex, such as the Telegraph, the Tokenhouse and the Globe. There are also outletts for coffee and food in the immediate vicinity, including Pret A Manger, ITSU, and EAT. Many are closed on weekends but the Apex offers a full breakfast for half price when the City closes down on weekends. And the Apex breakfasts are immensely satisfying.

You are about 3 minutes away from the Moorhouse tube and 5 minutes from the Bank tube. In any event we preferred to walk to our destinations, which included Knightsbridge, Harrod's, Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park, the Churchill War Rooms and many other places of interest. In short, at no time did we feel that our hotel was out of the way. In fact, it was fun to see all the young professionals walking around in their dark suits and skirts, busy chatting and interacting. It was even more fun to see them in the neighbourhood pubs each evening. All these young professionals seemed happy, engaged and well behaved. The City has only 6,000 residents, but its population swells to 30,000 each workday.

We had dinner twice in the Apex dining room, once for free and once at our own cost. The duck breast and pasta dishes were excellent, as was the friendly service. The food at the Apex competes well with the best.

Should we return to London anytime soon, we would once again stay at this hotel.

Our trip to the Apex London Wall was absolutely fantastic! The room was very clean, the bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in, and the bathroom... Oh my word, it was amazing!! This hotel is literally (we timed it) 7 minutes from the time you step foot off the tube in Moorgate station to the moment you walk into the front door of the hotel, and we were walking kinda slow. It's a little hidden... Make sure to look up directions beforehand, but once you know where it is, it's so easy to find. Customer service was great; our adapter plug didn't work so they let us borrow one of their's. There aren't a ton of restaurants nearby (with the exception of the very fancy, slightly expensive hotel restaurant -- which was very nice, but since I had a 12-year-old with me... it was just too fancy for us), but there is a McDonalds right around the corner and two Starbucks', one that is right across the street.

The area is very, very nice. It's in the business district, I think. Everyone was in a rush and all dressed up, but if you're lost (long story short, we got extrememly lost when we first got there), people are willing to help.

If I had to "ding" them for one thing, it would be room checks at 11am. We're from the U.S. and we never fully adjusted to London time, so we slept in most days. Every day at around 11am, we got a knock on the door and a "hello?" from a staff member letting us know they were there to check our mini bar. At most, it was an annoyance. Really not a huge deal at all, especially if you're not going to sleep in as much as we did.

Oh! And it's really not far from all the sites. I think it only took us maybe 12-15 minutes to get to all the main stuff.

This is probably a once-in-a-lifetime trip for me, but if I ever go back again... This is where I'm staying.

Stayed here with my wife. Very nice, smart hotel, with lovely decor. Check in was hassle free, quick and very friendly. Check out was a bit longer - credit card machine refused to work - needed three attempts to settle the bill - luckily we weren't in a hurry to get away!

Room was a little on the small side but well equipped. NIce comfy bed, large TV with freeview, complimentary water, tea/coffee etc and snacks, ressing gowns and slippers. Bathroom had a nice large bath and large walk in shower

Literally only used the room for getting changed and sleeping as we were in London for sightseeing and drinking. Didn't use the other facilities of bar, gym, breakfast etc so can't comment on those.

Staying in London, one must expect London prices i suppose, but i was disappointed in the price we paid for what was literally "Room only"

Hotel is in business district so very quiet at weekends - most shops, bars, coffee shops nearby are closed due to lack of business at weekends. That said there are three tube stations all within five minutes walk enabling you to quickly get elsewhere into the hustle and bustle of London.

Would probably recommend to friends and would stay again should the need arise but probably only if there was a special offer or reduced rate going on

I will definitely agree with most of the other travellers and state that this hotel is very special.
OK, it's small and discreet but what it lacks in presence it makes up for in service.

My main points of praise go to:-

* Our room (deluxe) was fab. Very roomy, great bathroom, nice and quiet and the added bonus of a little balcony area.
* The Elemis bathroom goodies were small but lovely - loved the white fluffy dressing gowns (a must for staying anywhere that claims to be 'luxury')
* Bose sound system was a great added plus for playing our music through
* Housekeeping were quick and responsive for new pillow choices
* Check-in staff were friendly and attentive
* Bar service staff were very accommodating
* Very trendy and lively bar (Friday night)
* The breakfast was lovely - no complaints at all

Would definitely stay again - keep up the good work (thank you!) xxxx

Stayed here for our wedding anniversary. What a lovely stay, we were greeted by the receptionist who congratulated us and then were told we had been upgraded. In our room were balloons, chocolates and a card - lovely touch and I was truly overwhelmed by the thought that had gone into it.

Room was spotless, staff very accommodating and near to the tubes. Only thing to be aware is that most restaurants and shops are closed on the weekends here but that didn't bother us as we were heading into other areas anyway.

I would certainly stay again and would recommended it to others.
