“Stunning, Elegant & Central”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

I had booked this hotel a few months in advance for my partner's birthday. After searching through numerous 4 and 5 star accommodations, I found the Apex London Wall. At first I was skeptical about the distance from Central London, but I'm glad I saw past this. We arrived at our hotel at 10am and the gentleman who served us was delighted to inform us that we had been upgraded to a suite on the 6th floor!! The room was exceptional; our balcony had a view of The Gherkin, the living area was very spacious, the bed was exceptionally comfortable and the bathroom...WOW!! Staff at this hotel were extremely helpful and we received sincere, friendly welcomes upon entering and exiting. The nearest station was the Bank Underground and we were 3-4 stops from Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus. The purpose of our stay was to visit the Harry Potter Studio Tour and before travelling, I had requested directions and best travel advice from the hotel. I was delighted to receive emails recommending travel routes and timescales we should adhere to. On top of this, when we arrived we received maps and travel guides to get us to Watford. This hotel really does go above and beyond when it comes to customer service and guest relations. Many thanks to the staff that helped us and we will definitely be back...providing that we are upgraded to Room 607 again!! =D

In the Financial district, but only a short tube ride from all major tourist attractions. The staff are extremely helpful. We were upgraded to a balcony room but didn't really use that. The view is just offices and construction, so I wouldn't reccommend paying extra for a balcony... The hotel is spotlessly clean, everywhere. Very comfy bed. Bathroom huge and luxurious. I ordered room service when we arrived and ordered from the kids menu for my son. They delivered a regular size meal to our room aplogizing that they had run out of kids burgers, and they didn't charge us for it! Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

It is ratings like this that gives Tripadvisor a bad name. I stayed a night here and it was perfectly OK for what it is. Staff were perfectly nice and i got an upgrade from my £160 double room. But there was nothing to distinguish this from any one of numerous central London modern-ish 4 star hotels I stay in on a regular basis. It was a touch above the Kwest, for example, but only because the Kwest needs a bit of an overhaul, but still is £50 a night cheaper and is arguably in a nicer part of town. But what kills the Apex is the lack of any parking at all - not even a decent guests' rate with the local NCP - ten minutes' walk away. To rate it in the top 25 in the UK is a bad joke.

Dear Meursault48,

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit. We were disappointed to read that you felt we did not on this occasion deliver the standard of excellence so many of our customers have experienced previously. It has been there many objective reviews of both our product quality and high level of customer care that has earnt us our Tripadvisor ranking, of which we are very proud and one that we work at tirelessly to improve on a daily basis.

I was very pleased to learn that you enjoyed the friendly approach from our staff and the complimentary upgrade that you were afforded on check in at the Hotel. We very much believe that our inclusive product offering is very comprehensive and not your standard London hotel bedroom fare . These added value Apex touches which are often commented on by so many of our repeat and new stay customers include complimentary high speed WIFI, daily newspaper, in room still and sparkling water, full sky movies and sports packages and separate power shower and bath facilities.

We believe our quiet yet central location in the city ensures that our customers are often pleasantly surprised with the connectivity options to both all areas around London from Bank, Liverpool and Moorgate tube station which are all located a short walk from the hotel. Thank you for your comments regarding car park and whilst we unfortunately do not have our own car park we do as you correctly alluded recommend the NCP car park at Finsbury Square. We would like to thank you for your comment regarding a potential guest discount and have made contact with them to discuss this opportunity.

We would like to thank you once again for your feedback and would welcome the opportunity to have you back with us on a return visit to the city.

Yours sincerely,

Simon Davis

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for an anniversary weekend. Staff were very friendly and polite. Upon checking in, we were upgraded to a suite which was absolutely wonderful!
The suite itself was luxurious and very comfortable. The double shower with extra jets was great although lacked shelf space for toiletries.
The hotel is very conveniently located close to both Moorgate and Bank tube stations and is only 15min walk from London Liverpool St.
Breakfast was also very delightful and upon checking out, we were offered to leave our bags behind so we could enjoy the rest of our day in London.
Would definitely recommend and stay here again - although I never received a complimentary duck :-(

The hotel is great, very modern and comfortable. It is in the business district and away from the tourist parts of London, however a short tube ride from Bank to Waterloo and you are right in the middle of it all. Comfortable bed, very clean and friendly team

My husband and I just returned from a trip to London where we stayed at the Apex for 2 nights and then returned after a 5 day trip to France for a final night before flying back home to NYC. This hotel was a perfect fit for us!! The room was very clean, large for Europe, and located in a great location!! Granted the area is very quite and if anyone is familiar with NYC, the neighborhood is a lot like downtown Manhattan......isolated at night, but that is what we liked best!! Plus for anyone who would find an issue with that, there are 3 major tube lines located a 5 minute walk from the hotel, so you can get to all major stations in London very quickly. It was perfect to come back to a cozy hotel after a day of sightseeing, eating, and drinking.
As for the hotel restaurant, we LOVED this place. The dim lighting offers a cozy setting and the Asparagus Risotto is the best risotto I've ever had and one of my favorite meals during our trip! I ordered it a second time when we returned for our final night before our flight. I also recommend a glass of prosecco and the pumpkin soup in the fall.
The staff was one of the most friendly that we encountered. Each time we entered the hotel, we were always greeted by a friendly employee at the front desk. Another nice touch was when we departed for France, the front desk said that we could stowe any of our luggage or purchases at the hotel for 5 days before our return. Upon our return for the final night, we were upgraded to a suite, which was the perfect way to end our stay. On our last night, after eating lunch at Borough Market and stopping by Harrod's, we decided to call it an early night and eat at the hotel restaurant again and relax in our room.
I highly recommend this hotel, it was perfect. We can't wait to return to London to stay here. After walking around all day and sightseeing, it was so relaxing to come back to our room/hotel and the perfect ending to our amazing vacation!

Room Tip: Honestly all of the rooms are good - very clean, large, very short walk to tube lines. TOTALLY WORT...
