“Fave place to stay in Shoreditch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I loved this little hotel. Cosy, comfortable, luxurious, private. The rooms are gorgeous and homely. Loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom. Aesop toiletries. Rooftop terrace bar is a little hidden London gem. Perfectly located in Shoreditch but just off the main high streets so a bit away from the hustle and bustle. A pastry or cake left in your room for afternoon tea is an especially nice touch.

Beautiful boutique hotel and rooms complete with aesop products in one of the more impressive bathrooms I've had in a hotel.

Fresh baked goods met us every day, the mini bar was amply stocked, the restaurant next door is fantastic and the hotel staff were exceptionally accommodating.

Located in the heart of shoreditch. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay again!

Only con - our room was above what must have been the hotel's garbage dumpster. Every early morning we were met with the insufferable smashing of glass and it lasted an unfortunately long time.

Stayed for 3 nights in this superb hotel.
Nice location near the financial district, great rooms each different and inspired by a designer.
Wonderful staff really!
Very attentive, free paper each morning, a free beer and cakces in the evening.
Nice rooftop terras(outside and inside for drinks or eating).
Breakfast is next door at the Albion wich is a cafe and small shop, with an in-house bakery and cake counter, serves outstanding breakfast.
Don't forget the bar(rather small but nice) and the restaurant, very good.

The entrance of the hotel can be a bit difficult to find since it is not a typical big door with lobby, just 2 small doors and somone behind a desk(a very friendly one!).

Just go there you will not regret.

We had a fantastic stay at the Boundary. It's a lovely hotel with surprisingly spacious rooms and such lovely details. Each room has a different design, inspired by a designer or a design movement.
Highly recommended and we'll definitely be back! :-)

Back again to the Boundary. I feel like home now. I’m still trying all the rooms as they are all different. Stayed in the n° 26, a corner room, very spacious with 6 double windows seeing on the Redchurch street and the Boundary street. I also discovered that the Hostem shop 20 meters away is offering a 20% discount to the hotel residents.

Room Tip: n°26, a corner room, very spacious

We stayed at the Boundary for one night, a literal last-minute booking. We stayed in the British room. It was very large, stylish and had the most comfortable hotel bed we've ever slept in. For that reason alone the expensive room rate is justified! The bathroom was also really good - a large shower, heated floor, Aesop toiletries and a True Grace reed diffuser that filled the bathroom and bedroom with a heavenly fig fragrance. We also loved the extra touches - when we returned from dinner (elsewhere) the bathroom mat had been placed on the bathroom floor, breakfast room service menu placed by my bedside, and an ice bucket and complimentary box of mini lemon meringue pies (utterly sublime too) placed on the sideboard for us. Service was impeccable. We didn't have breakfast at the Albion (checked out at 8am) but the previous evening we had cocktails at the rooftop bar and snuggled in the chairs with the blankets provided, sipping our cocktails and enjoying the night sky. Its an excellent hotel, obviously not at the budget end of the London market , but it is worth it. I do have 2 observations: the hotel doesn't have a proper lobby. When you enter, it feels like an apartment block lobby. A hotel, especially an expensive one, needs a good lobby (The Hoxton, around the corner, has a really great lobby) to make guests feel that they have arrived at a truly great hotel. I appreciate that space is at a premium (at the expense of the Albion restaurant probably) but a lobby is an important feature in my book. My second observation is that the room is almost too perfectly styled, feeling somewhat sterile. I know this type of room design is meant to be minimalist, with every item of furniture and book very carefully and purporsely chosen, but it lacked a certain cosiness....or gemütlichkeit ....and we felt over-conscious of spoiling the room if we moved anything/picked something up. It felt a bit like going to visit a distant relative and worrying about knocking the ornaments over. However, these were minor niggles and overall we enjoyed our stay at the Boundary. We love Shoreditch, having stayed there many times before and we wouldn't stay anywhere else when in London. We would return to the Boundary for the bed alone and as a treat, as its above our usual hotel budget (we're Hoxton regulars), and if you're looking for a bit of luxury away from the stuffy Mayfair and Knightsbridge hotels, then the Boundary is as good as it gets.

The best hotel I stayed in London so far. Great location super friendly & helpful stuff, great restaurants. The romm was very well designed, big and very pleasant. The shepered pie in the coffe shop is one of the best one I ever eaten.
