“The place to go to avoid the crowds at Trafalgar Square”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012

A friend who is familiar with area took me here after fleeing the huge crowds filling Trafalgar Sq after an Olympic event. As I've found over the years, this is a difficult place to be after major events if you want a sedate place for drinks and food. Often it involves walking considerable distances to find a venue. This place was excellent. Crowd free, atmospheric with a true British pub decor and feel, good food located over three floors. Will become a regular stop for me when in the area.

“delicious affordable food close to Trafalgar Square”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2012

We happened upon this restaurant by chance, and we were ever so grateful. Our party consisted of four adults and two older children and we ordered pub fare; fish and chips, bangers and mash, steak pie and the like. The food and beer were very good, but the real treat was the price. We'd not expected to find such affordable, good food so close to Trafalgar Square. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

“Good atmosphere. Average food, reasonably priced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2012

We visited on 9 February. 2012. The pub is cosy and welcoming with lots of corners and crannies. The food is reasonably priced - most meals being around the £7 to £8 price range. It is cheap for London and for it's location (it's near Whitehall and Trafalgar Square).

My partner had cheeseburger and chips which he was perfectly happy with. I chose the fish and chips. The fish and chips looked suspiciously like frozen food heated up, but tasted okay. The portion of garden peas served with it was on the small side. The tartar sauce however was delicious and home made. Well done on that.

“Best Fish and Chips of Our Life”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2012

We had lunch at Walkers and we tried classic Fish and Chips.
Really amazing!!!!
Fish was well cooked and chips were fragrant.
A good choice of beers made our staying wery confortable.
Atmosphere was relaxing and intimate.
In addition the pub is just near Trafalgar Square, which makes it a good place to start your journey in London.

A classic great pub!
