The last review below must have been made by an insane person that stumbled drunkenly into an Aberdean Angus.
This restaurant is AMAZING. I was first taken here by a Parisian who lived in London and ate here when he felt home sick because of how french it is and how identical it is to the original in Paris. Now this is a true demonstration of how good it must be, as we all know how serious Parisians are.
There is nothing in this restaurant that is mass produced or brought in frozen, its just simple, GREAT FOOD, done really well. Frites are hand prepared, salad is hand cut, steak is cooked to your liking (well done people are asked to politely re-order, or leave!! The Paris branch just asks you to leave and doesnt bring your drinks!) The chefs are steak experts so please order at least one level down, medium people go rare, rare go blu!
Get talking to them and you will find that they took ages to locally source quality ingrediants, the meat is from a royal estate etc.... But the bread - comes on Eurostar from Paris everyday!
Dont expect the best steak on the planet - just the best steak based all round meal - because IT'S ALL ABOUT THE SECRET SAUCE!!!! Yum!!!
Please, please, please go to the Paris restaurant if you can and it will all make sense.
Last time i made it here at 7.30pm and waited 5mins to get in, once full the queue started - an hour later, none other than Michael Caine stood in the doorway queue for almost an hour to get in.
