“Delicious NZ food & wine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

We had a great night at Suze and will definitely be back. The food was delicious, both mains (lamb rump and roasted salmon) were fantastic and the pavlova is a must! Excellent wine on offer and at a reasonable price. The service was spot on and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Definitely worth a visit!

“Australasian cuisine of the 80's”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

Having been on the mailing list for some time my partner and I decided to try out Suze at Mayfair on Saturday evening.
We were asked to move with minutes of being seated after being offered a choice of two tables we chose the table away for the draft of the main door. Our request to move was to accommodate a group who arrived with no booking and just stayed for drinks. We ended up being blasted with cold air every time the door opened at the new seating location, it sometimes pays not to be polite. We had made a reservation two weeks prior. I had the muscles in a cream sauce followed by the fish of the day being pan fried Sea Bass with chips and salad whilst my partner had the terrine followed by the seafood pasta. . Over cooked chewy muscles followed by overcooked, not fresh fish with a small crisscross stack of soggy chips and a handful of lettuce. The duck terrine was OK although to me looked very unappealing and straight out of a Waitrose deli counter whilst the pasta looked just as average. The way the meal was plated was as if we had stepped back to the the 80's with absolutely no style or creativity, basically very unappealing. Compared to the food I eat every year in NZ and Australia when I go there for summer to advertise as this as cuisine of Australasia is false advertising.
Save your money and time and cook at home. £55 which included one glass of wine, we did not dare risk dessert let alone ask for a flat white!
This was a dining experience I will not repeat and have unsubscribed to the mailing list.
Th only consultation was our waiter, the most delightful Turkish woman who thankfully did not greet us with " how yeah going tonight" or after every item being delivered to the table when we respond thank you we get in return "no worries"
Do yourself a favour and eat at a local pub or European restaurant which there are numerous to choose from in this great city of London

“Friendly NZ Wine Bar Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

Excellent food and wine; Suze had been around for 23 years in London and it just gets better. There is a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and the hosts, Tom and Sue, and very welcoming.

“Enjoyable Dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

We stumbled upon Suze one night and decided to stop for dinner. We were treated to a nice experience! One of the proprietors was very helpful in making sure we had a great drinking and dining evening. The food was very good, not too fancy, but very tasty.
