“Great 5 star worthy lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

Dined here for their excellent value lunch menu - 4 courses for £25

Each course is a starter size dish would be the best way to describe it, and you choose from a total list of about 7 savoury dishes, and 3 desserts. You can go any combination you like, and I had 4 savoury dishes, whilst my partner had 3 savoury, 1 dessert.

Food was overall fantastic - the pork belly dish was very filling, with perfect crackling and a delicious pea and lobster dressing. I also had the sea bass in a miso broth - intense flavours and well cooked, honey glazed quail - sweet and lovely cabbage side, and beetroot mackerel - very tasty.

Particularly would recommend for people like me who always wish they could try more of the menu than just a starter and a main, and those who like the idea of multiple small plates.

At £25 per person the Maze lunch really represents outstanding value

“Loved it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

My husband and I are foodies and really enjoyed the taste menu at the Maze. There are two options on most courses and we chose the opposite of each others so we could see them all. A lot of the dishes on paper didn't work but in the mouth were amazing. service great too. Cant wait to go back.

“Good, not sublime”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013 via mobile

Went there for a lunch with a group of friend. Overall a very good experience with a mixture of very good and 1 or 2 outstanding dishes. I went for the £75 chefs menu with 7 courses. The highlight was definitely the outstanding lamb with new potato and mint, which was out of this world. The coconut panna cotta was of a similar standard. No bad dishes were produced. 2 of our table went for the set menu (4 dishes for £25, limited menu), twice, meaning they got 8 for only £50 which was definitely very good value for money. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Overall very enjoyable although not quite in the same league as viajante or le chateaubriand. Would recommend definitely for lunch

“Somewhat disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013 via mobile

I've been to Ramsey restaurants in Las Vegas, and had some of the best meals of my life. In comparison this was very disappointing. To start, they seated our group of six (with a reservation made 6 weeks in advance) at a table barely big enough for two. In order to fit the food on the table, they had to take away our water glasses and our plates were literally 1/3 hanging off the side of the table. Every time we were served, something would be knocked over.
Food was mixed quality - there were a few spectacular starters, but the steak was tough and over cooked.

May have just been an off night, but definitely not up to Ramsey standards in my opinion.

“Lovely food, lovely staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

This was purchased as a Red Letter Day for my birthday present, which we booked for our wedding anniversary meal. We had a lovely experience, the staff where amazing and the 5 course tasting menu was lovely. They took extra attention to help me as I don't eat meat, and also checked that we had no allergies. People have mentioned that the portions are small, but we couldn't finish our dessert let alone the small solid chocolate cake they bought out with a candle for my birthday!!!! Lovely experience and would go again. Staff definitely made the evening.
