“Perfect Steak....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012

and the chips were really lovely too....

The Crab salad was the ideal start to the meal....and i have to say everything that followed was just so well cooked...well served....and well washed down with some really good wines.Sat down stairs and spent a lot of the meal pointing out all the pictures and making sure we could name all the 'stars'.

so a great find....tucked away down the alley...but will definitely return

“Scottish menu and jazz”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Boisdale of Bishopsgate is almost hidden away down an alley immediately opposive Liverpool Street Station but it is well worth seeking out. Although we chose from a set menu of lobster or steak for mains, the selection of starters was distinctively Scottish including soused herring, Stornoway black pudding and haggis. Tables are cosely close to each other but this suits the ambience of the below ground restaurant. Live jazz added to the enjoyment of a very pleasant evening.

“love fillet steak!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Took a chance on this restaurant and what a gem we found. Our first wedding anniversary and we now have great memories thanks to boisdales. Both had the fillet steak and it was literally perfect. The staff were excellent and the atmosphere for a cold monday night was good. We will definitely return.

“Exceptional!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

What a little gem of a restaurant tucked away in London near Liverpool Street! Atmosphere was great, live piano busy but yet refined clientele and good menu and wine choice. We went for the specials menu but wrer still impressed. Oysters were fresh from Jersey.... My favourite, steak was cooked to perfection and a quality cut and even the lobster, although small was well presented and really tasty. Service was attentive and informed, so overall couldn't fault this place and would definitely go back!

“One of my most favorite restaurants in the World”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2012

I come to this restaurant at every opportunity when I fly into London for business roughly every 6 weeks from New York.

It has excellent steaks, but I love the Scottish specialties mixed with some of the best of french cuisine. The setting and ambiance is ideal - until recently your mobile could not be reached and the consumption of great wine and port was uninterrupted by the real world. It has sort of old world club feel and occasionally bagpipes are brought out.

I have also been to the one in Canary Wharf, but it does not have the same feel, although the food and wine are as good.
